Voice:"In lands of yore, where ancient tales unfold,
A puzzle of wisdom, let it be told:
To transcend this realm, where mortal feet tread,
Look inward, seeker, where truth lies widespread.
Within your essence, a missing piece resides,
A fragment lost, where destiny abides,
Uncover the void, reclaim what's been torn,
And ascend the heavens, like celestial-born.
Journey within, traverse the depths untold,
Seek the stolen treasure, buried in your soul,
Once made whole, your spirit shall take flight,
Beyond earthly bounds, embracing starry light.
So venture forth, with courage as your guide,
Unlock the puzzle, where secrets reside,
And in celestial grace, your spirit shall thrive,
A legend reborn, in realms vast and alive.
Suddenly, I woke up. I didn't know what that dream was all about talking about treasures inside your souls… "maybe it was from all those books I've read" I said to myself and got out of bed.
Yuna: Morning sweetheart, did you sleep well?
Gareki: I guess so…? I feel full of energy anyways so training today won't be a problem
Kotetsu: Speaking of training…
Gareki: Not again….
Yuna: Ehe…
Gareki: I'll go this time
Kotetsu looking at Yuna: At least she's good with magic right…?
Gareki: WAKE UP!!!! YOU'VE OVER SLEPT AGAIN!!! YOU USELESS TEACHER YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT
Kanako:Uhh give me 5 more minutes…
Gareki: I SAID WAKE UP!!! THAT'S IT! APATHEUS!
*Splash*
Kanako: *gasping* HOW DARE YOU USE MY OWN TEACHINGS AGAINST ME?! YOU STUPID BRAT.
Gareki: Now get a towel and wake up.
Kanako removed me from her room and I went downstairs.
"Hey mom, you seem worried about something" I said while placing myself at the table
"Oh it's nothing" she said, "It's just that your father left without taking the shopping list… again." It was indeed not the first time he had forgotten to take the shopping list…
And so, I'm now on a secret mission.
After stealing the shopping list from the table, I've wondered through the Silent Silverwood Vale since it would be the fastest way to meet him in the middle.
As I ventured deeper into the Silent Silverwood Vale, an ominous feeling grew with silence. Sunbeams filtered through the dense canopy, casting fleeting patterns of light and shadow upon the forest floor. The soft rustle of leaves accompanied my every step, as if the ancient trees whispered secrets.
A sudden crash shattered the tranquility, and my eyes widened in disbelief as an enormous boar emerged before me. He looked horrible. I've never seen such boar. His body was rotten and its malevolent crimson eyes flickered with an eerie light shouting out the words "danger". Towering above me, its snout bore menacing tusks, while an ominous aura enveloped its undead body.
Undeterred by the looming danger, I raised my hand, I thought it was a great moment to try out my magic after all my training. So with a determined shout, I hurled my power toward the undead boar "INFERNO BLAST!". But my confidence waned as the spell collided with the creature, illuminating its twisted form, yet failing to elicit any response. "ICICLE BARRAGE" But ice magic didn't seem to cause anything to it either. After trying every spell and seeing nothing worked. I didn't know what to do in that moment. My hands were cold and my breathing intensified. I tripped on a rock and fell on my back hitting my head. With the boar standing right in front of me, a chilling realization washed over me, and panic coursed through my veins. This was no ordinary foe—it was an undead abomination, not an opponent to my feeble magic. Desperation gripped me as I grappled with the dire situation I had stumbled into. "Is this it? Am I about to die again?"
Boar: "How can a kid like you…. Be chosen to ascend to the celestial plane amongst the Gods." I Froze to what I had just witnessed and moments after, the boar made his move.
As my life flashed through my eyes, my teacher Kanako arrived, her authoritative voice cutting through the chaos. "LUMINOUS VEIL!" That was her light magic enchantation, it was to blind the boar, I knew that so I closed my eyes when I heard it. "Gareki, stand back!" words bolstered my spirits as she brandished her staff, aglow with ancient enchantments.
She was incredible, her quick movements and agility were a view to be seen.
Time seemed to slow as Kanako unleashed a dazzling display of magic. Spells erupted from her staff, crackling through the air and striking the undead boar. Each blast weakened the creature's defenses, sowing uncertainty within its darkened essence.
"What is this thing made out of? How can a rotten body be this resistant to my magic?" She said. She seemed worried about the situation… I've never seen her like this once in these past months.
Finally, with a ghastly howl, the undead boar succumbed to Kanako's relentless barrage, collapsing in a swirl of unearthly energies. Victory was ours, if only for a fleeting moment.
Yet, a foreboding sense of danger lingered. Kanako sensed an approaching horde. "There are about 20 more of these guys coming our way" Urgently, she grasped my arm, and we raced through the winding paths of the Silent Silverwood Vale, our footsteps blending with the forest's whispers.
As we arrived home, I saw my mother outside of the house, waiting for me. She together with Kanako started to shout at me. I had my head down the entire time and the only words I could say were "I am sorry"
Their voices intertwined, expressing concern and admonishment. This took time until Kotetsu arrived home
Kotetsu: Hey guys…. Did I…. miss something?
Then they've proceeded to tell him what had happened.
Kotetsu: Well, I guess there is no point of me being harsh with you now that you had these two on you huh?
He said, then he laughed.
Later that night everything went back to normal,
after what had happened I had no more training since Kanako was exhausted fighting that thing so we've just finished the day early by punishing me making me write 1000 times "I won't leave without anyone knowing where I'm going" and that was it for that day.
*Later at night*
Mysterious voice in Silent Silverwood Vale: Hmm, it seems as if someone found out…. I better unleash the chaos before it's too late. Vexor, Lilith!
Both: Yes my Lord.
Mysterious voice: Behold the hour for when chaos takes its hold. Despair prevails, bringing us closer to the wicked divine's untold…
