Chapter 36

Diana's throat felt parched, so she headed to get a drink of water. Just as she reached for the glass, her phone rang. It was Ethan calling. Startled, Diana rushed outside the Mansion and spotted Ethan's blue car. In a split second, she noticed a long, slim wooden stick on the ground. As Ethan angrily called out her name, Diana swifly grabbed the stick and struck him in the stomach. He fell to his knees in front of her.

Catching her breath, Diana confronted him about his secret affair with Maria and demanded to know where her daughter was.

Ethan smirked, standing up, and suddenly kicked her with his leg. Diana tumbled to the ground, hitting her head on a stone. Blood began to flow, and she struggled to stand.

Ethan, with a sinister smile, warned her not to speak again or he would kill her. Blinking in pain, Diana noticed Ethan's back was bleeding, suggesting he had recently encountered Maria. Gathering her strength, Diana stood up and called him a fool, revealing that he was merely Maria's pawn and she was using him. Enraged, Ethan punched Diana in the face, causing her to fall and spit out blood. Determined to find her daughter, Diana vowed to end the game that Maria and Ethan had started, catching them off guard. Suddenly, her vision blurred, and she lost consciousness, collapsing on the ground.

Lucas, who had been sleeping, jolted and shouted Diana's name in fear. He quickly got out of bed and decided to search for her.

Ethan's heart raced as he heard the approaching footsteps, without a second thought, he swiftly carried Diana in his arms and hid behind the walls. Just as he caught his breath, he spotted Lucas and decided to hide.

In a split second, Ethan made his move. He stealthily carried Diana to his waiting car, gently placing her in the passenger seat. He hopped into the driver's seat and drove off.

Lucas saw him and screamed his name, he then saw a red stain on a stone, he touched it and realized that Diana was in danger and Ethan had taken her.
