Ethan cautiously entered Maria's room, his heart pounding with worry as he saw her sitting in the floor, tears streaming down her face. The room was in complete disarray, with items scattered everywhere. He rushed towards her, concern etched on his face, and gently lifted her up.
"Maria, what happened? Did you do all this?" Ethan asked, his voice filled with concern.
"Maria looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy. She pushed for a moment, her voice trembling as she finally spoke, "Do you love me, Ethan?"
Without a moment's hesitation, Ethan replied, his voice filled with sincerity, "yes, Maria. I love you and only you. Have no doubts about that."
Overwhelmed by his words, Maria leaned in and kissed him passionately. Their emotions ignited, causing them to knock over a few things in the process. Suddenly, they heard a noise coming from the door, breaking them out of their intense moment.
Panicking, Maria pushed Ethan away, whispering urgently, "Hide! Quick, find somewhere to hide!"
Ethan's heart raced as he quickly darted into Maria's wardrobe, trying to conceal himself
Meanwhile, Maria hurriedly grabbed a blanket to cover herself, realizing that her clothes were scattered on the floor. She quickly put on her white robe, hoping to appear composed.
As the knocking on the door grew louder, Maria took a deep breath and opened it to find Lily standing there, her eyes scanning the room. Lily's face fell upon a shirt that seemed out of place, raising her suspicions.
"Maria, your room is a mess! And is that a Man's shirt?" Lily questioned, her voice tinged with curiousity.
Thinking on her feet, Maria quickly fabricated a story, her voice sounding convincing, "Oh, that shirt? I bought it last week when I was in Chigago. Must have forgotten to put it away. Anyway, you can leave now, I need to change."
Lily nodded still a bit suspicious, " Alright, come down stairs for dinner. Diana made something delicious for everyone."
As Lily left, Maria couldn't help but feel a sense of relief.
