Chereads / THE WARD / Chapter 175 - Sixteen

Chapter 175 - Sixteen

After circling each other for a while, Eagan has lost his patience but regained some of his strength. His next attacks were more vicious but unsuccessful. Each time he landed back on the ground with a thud.

He is bleeding profusely. Just like I am, but I wanted him dead more than anything.

The fight was taking too long. I needed to end this fast. Something felt off.

Eagan pushes himself off the ground groaning, and I hear a scream cutting through all the cheers.

And I know that they are here.

I reach for the blade in the sole of my foot and pull it out. Lissete crawls out of the body of a man standing not far from Eagan, and more follow in the same way. I'm surrounded, and the crowd is screaming running in every direction.

I haven't exhausted all my tricks but it is my last resort knowing the damage it can do.

Lissete smirks, " Found ya'" She beams clapping her hands. Crazy bitch.

" Congratulations. You've done something right in your entire miserable life," I taunt and Lissete pouts.

" Did I hurt your little feelings, Lissete?" I don't stop taunting. I need a little more time until everyone is out of the underground.

" It will cost you," She says with a sinister smile. That girl is the very definition of creepy.

" You still haven't sent me the bill for the last one, " Almost there.

" Well," She taps her finger on her chin, pretending to think," You have been rather difficult to find. Imagine our surprise when we found out that you will be facing Eagan in his little pastime," She pats Eagan on his shoulder and smiles up at him with loving eyes. Sick love is still love. Just have to find the right kind of crazy. Anything is possible.

" Sorry to disappoint, but I'm afraid I have to cut our little rendezvous short, " The power pulsing within begins to leave me in waves. I know they don't see it but I do. I see the floor rippling, and the walls turning translucent, moving fluidly.

" Lovely to see you though, don't be a stranger. Please, do come and visit," I taunt and let go. They go flying through the room and the walls of the underground ring.

Everything solidifies once the momentum has worn off. I'm left alone with a room that has been swept clean. There is nothing left in the room. The benches, stalls, tables and chairs are gone. Where? I don't know.

Footsteps approaching drags me back from my assessment and my smile fades at the man standing a few feet away from me. I'm pretty sure that my soul-destroying levitated out of my body for the briefest moment because he was before me and I didn't even see him move.
