"What were you telling her?" Keir asked Emily once they were in the seclusion of her room.
"Nothing." She said.
"It didn't seem like nothing." His voice was ice cold and the usual mischievous smile that he always had was nowhere to be seen at the moment.
"It really was nothing." Emily mumbled in a sultry voice, "She just happened to pass me by and I was just making conversation."
She wrapped her arms around his neck, trying to get him to drop the subject but Keir's face remained stolid.
"Do you know the reason I still keep you around despite your schemes with your shady father?" He asked in a monotome voice and Emily's heart missed a beat.
