A determined look flashed across Emily's face as she clutched her dress tightly. Derick looked at his daughter and he didn't know whether to warn her or coax her to go back to Keir.
"You know no one is capable of bringing down Keir from his high seat, right?" He cautioned and Emily stared at him with a barely detectable glint of ridicule.
"Of course there is. Merikh is still alive... and free." She said, a small smile forming on her face. Derick's eyes widened slightly, and he stared at Emily as if she had grown another head.
"What?" Emily asked with a sneer.
"You think you can use Merikh to suppress Keir?" His voice brimmed with mockery but Emily's confidence didn't falter. She just nodded.
"It seems you forgot that he has a mate. Who is actually in Keir's hands as we speak."
