Chapter 6
Mornings were as familiar as ever, particularly the mornings without troubles. I wish my morning were like that if not for Audrey.
"You promised me!" She shouted
I knew I messed up but she doesn't have to take it that seriously.
"Okay, Audrey I fell asleep and forgot" I pleaded
"No, you didn't want to watch with me at all"
"Would you quit the baby tantrums Audrey" Naomi pointed out
"Hey you shut your mouth " Audrey retorted
"Well, at least I can say relevant things unlike you" Naomi fired back
"Okay you two calm down," I said as both voices grew louder.
"Hey people, we are going for the picnic today " Mrs Becky pitched in enthusiastically. We all stopped and stared at her in awe.
"What??" We all said in unison
"Oh yeah, sorry I'm saying it this time, but we have to go"
"Ok ma," I said
"Okay, go get dressed up all of you, we're going now" she informed.
I strode briskly back to my room, took a nice shirt and trousers, further applied mild cream on my body as well as combed my spiky hair.
Not long after, we got to the picnic area.
It was a nice place filled with lovely families. Beautiful trees surrounded the area which families would spread their mats and sit on.
The sight of happy people brought a very pleasant sensation to me.
Children were playing and jumping around, some were in the merry-go-round, and the teenagers around played video games at the little building in the picnic area.
It was a nice place with nice people.
Only if, Audrey won't drop her irrational attitude and behave normally, everything would have been complete.
We chose a particular spot behind a huge tree and spread a mat brought by Mrs. Becky on the ground, then sat on it.
She brought a lot of snacks and assorted edibles.
We began talking joyfully. Mrs. Becky observing Audrey's unusual silence asked her.
"Audrey, what's wrong with you?"
"Nothing mum" she replied
"Then, why are you so gloomy?"
"I'm not gloomy," she said with a long face
"Well, you can't spoil our fun, so you better fix your face"
"You all are so delusional, you all are selfish and eccentric..you don't care about others, you don't even love me!!" Audrey ejaculated amidst tears.
"What?"
"Audrey calm down" Naomi tried pacifying her sister noticing the way people around stared at them.
"Leave me alone!"
I looked at them, watching everything going on, and didn't say a word.
Naomi and Mrs. Becky kept on holding Audrey and tried getting her back to normal.
Audrey's tears increased and her cry became louder.
This was strange. Such had never happened before.
I pondered if I was the cause. But it was just a movie I bailed on her, nothing else.
"Are you gonna sit there or come and help?" Mrs Becky thundered at me I didn't blame her, Audrey was her child after all.
I tried moving but I couldn't, my limbs were glued to the ground suddenly.
I tried all I could but my efforts were futile.
I fell on my back at once, this wasn't my action, I'm being worked on.
Someone is doing this.
"Hermit!, Hermit!" That was all I heard.
My vision became strangely blurred, my speech was slurred and I doubt if anyone could hear me.
Then my soul became disillusioned with my body.
I saw Hermit on the floor and people around him, then EL'TOREL KAD was looking at him on the other side. The distant height.
