Fallen Angel
Chapter 7
I felt my soul detaching itself from my initial body and floating up into space.
It was uncanny and queer. My senses never seem to fathom what was happening.
Moments later, my body was in a tornado that was going high up into the sky.
I tried wriggling my way out but to no avail.
The presence of the tornado was trenchant and highly noticeable.
I thought of things to do.
Suddenly, my mind drifted back to my family back on earth.
"What would they think? would they think am dead?" I thought inwardly
"No, they won't, they're fine though, " a voice from the tornado said.
What the heck!
How does he hear my thoughts?!
"I can read minds," he said
"Pretty sure he's one of Mephistopheles and Leviathan's allies." My thoughts became wild and a feeling of hatred and anguish crept into the back of my soul.
"Who's still talking about those rebels," he said flippantly with a scoff.
"What do you mean rebel?" I inquired confusedly.
"They were cast from the heavens for an act of dethroning the supreme being" he explained
"Probably they were too close to the supreme being" he added.
I still didn't get his words. Does he mean the two barbarians aren't angels anymore? I tried brushing that thought off my head and focus on the reason this guy is taking me to an unknown destination.
"Why and where are you taking me?" I asked
"Where am taking you to is not necessary to tell" he replied plainly
"Who are you?" I asked again
"I'm an archangel, isn't that obvious?''
Wow, I should have guessed that long ago.
"I'm sure you were sent by the supreme lord right?"
He snubbed.
I began figuring out ways I can liberate myself from his grasp and at the same time try to put a barricade to his mind-reading ability.
Eureka!, an idea popped up.
Since he was a supernatural being himself, then I could try some supernatural tricks.
I surged up an energy wave on my hands and hit it on the surface of the tornado making a little passage for my exit.
I began to float due to the absence of gravity and had to make use of my wings.
I shot out my wings immediately and it was painful, shrieky, and stiff because of years of inactivity.
"I see you wanna make this a long trip?" He taunted
"At least you tell me where you're taking me to and who you are," I said defensively
"Let's get it going then," he said without apt concentration and dashed into me.
He hit me fiercely and nearly broke my wings. I fell a few meters before regaining my stance.
He was about to do the same thing again but I dodged unconsciously.
At the point I noticed he was open, I began firing a series of punches at him.
This pretty much, triggered his violent bravado.
"You asked for it!"
The tornado started diminishing gradually until it became a grown angel.
He was like no angel I've seen, he had such physique and stature like no other.
Before letting me speak, he dashed at me several times decimating my face with hard blows.
That was expected.
I got back up and returned the favor with kicks and punches at the same time but he blocked my every move.
"Let's take it up a bit," he said and disappeared all of a sudden.
"Now you can't see me!" He jeered and laughed
I looked around hoping I would find the weirdo, but even with my supernatural vision, I couldn't see him.
"How can you have so many powers?" I complained
"These are just a few of my arsenal," he said proudly
"The supreme being is getting too generous these days".
It dawned on me that mere attacks wouldn't hurt him, so I resolved to use tricks.
I summoned an angelic stainer which is a colored liquid that could stay in an angel's body for a long until the user decides to take it off, it was officially used for identification by archangels but here I am abusing it.
First, I had to figure out the spot he was.
Then in an unconscious movement, I turned to my back and stroke the angelic stainer in the air.
I thought it didn't catch him, not until he winced in pain crying for help.
"What is wrong!" I yelled in utter dismay.
"That item is used for rebels and rogues only," he said whimpering
I felt pity for him and identified the blue glistening color in the air, went to him, and tried to remove the stainer.
"There you go haha"
He pushed me back, took hold of my wings, and flung me back and forth severally.
"You're such a wimp " he simpered
"Ah, you deceptive angel" I mentioned in pain and all he did was laugh.
It was a battle with an angel what more should I expect?
That was the exact action I needed to turn my show on.
I harnessed my archangel powers. My body was surrounded by a shiny white aura, my wings grew bigger and my eyes glowed immensely.
"You're an archangel?" He asked in surprise.
I got to him at a speed he didn't comprehend and gave him a couple of blows before tossing him to a distant length.
Dashed towards him again, twisted his neck, and stomped him below.
I got to him one more time and yanked him by his throat, strangling him.
"Okay okay, the supreme lord sent me" he muttered with a dying breath.
What?. The supreme lord?
I was bemused, what does the supreme lord want me for?
"I don't know, it has something to do with the rebels," he said after reading my mind unpermitted.
"Don't ever read my mind without permission" I warned before letting him down and he gasp for breath endlessly.
"Woah, I'm LEIR'BAG and I won't tell anyone about your insecurities, your secret is safe with me," he said with a kid voice
"Take me there" I ignored him and returned to my base appearance.
"Alright then" he transformed into his tornado form and engulfed me.
