Skai had not waited for either man to react when she spun on her heel and stormed off, her silhouette disappearing into the darkness amidst the fields of her family's compound.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she ran. The weight of Damien's accusations and the frustration of being unheard came crushing down on her.
It should have been a good thing for her the way he acted obsessive and not.
At the very least it proved he had interest in her right?
As good as that may have seemed, she wasn't dating him, nor had he once shown interest in her apart from that night—the first night Skai was sure she would have had a one night stand with a stranger.
After everything they'd been through, she did not think he saw her that way—like the whore he made her out to be when he spoke to her rudely at the restaurant.
But then again this evening proved her wrong.
