Chapter 18 - Her fiancé birthday party

A week passed by as John started to teach Tia some basic things she needed to know before they could send her back to the college where the real Leigh has just started to begin her years of preparation.

Leigh was deadly tired, dark bags were forcing her eyes to shut. This happened because of the long hours training duration.

She was in the garden sitting on the bare ground and in front was a canvas on which she was trying to paint.

Days passed by but what she did was nothing more than wasting papers while trying to paint.

"Hmm… you are good at learning the other things but, why can't you do this properly!!!" the grandma standing behind her scolded her with a furious look.

She has her hand crossed while John looked at Tia with his pitiful eyes.

'There are only two people except her. if she wanted, she could have gotten rid of us as she must been skilled of doing the killing job but from the very first day we met never once did I felt any killing intentions coming from her. Rather she looks really pitiful'

John was reminiscing the past few days that he spent with her. As grandma has ordered, he even took a little blood of hers to check if by any chance she was Iam Filin other daughter whom no one knows about but the report came negative.

"Please go easy madam. Painting is not something one can learn within a month and moreover it is also an inner talent you can't force upon others," John tried to calm the old lady.

Tia stood up and slapped her hands together to wipe away the dust, she turned back facing grandma and apologized quickly, "I am sorry, madam but this is something I really can't do".

As she said that, she threw a look at the painting she has drawn after long three hours of constant effort. It was so awful that she couldn't even recognize where was the flower she was trying to draw.

The grandma clicked her tongue, "My grandchild is majoring in painting, how are you going to pretend to be her if you can't even draw a single flower".

She turned her head down scratching her hands since there was no reply in her head.

John moved forward and patted her head, "Its ok, we will think about what to do about this later but first let's get you dressed properly".

"Dressed? But for what?" She looked at herself. she was a complete mess and chuckled awkwardly, "Oh…"

She was misunderstanding about it and John has realized it so he made it clear, "I think I forgot to tell you but today is our Leigh's fiancé birthday and you must attend it. That's why you need to be dressed".

Tia gasped. Even if it was tiresome still, she liked staying in the old house and paint because at least people eyes were not picking at her but now that he told her something so important, her heartbeat started to mess with her.

She didn't want to face a large crowd when she didn't even know much about this place and about the one, she has become.

"Can I not go?" she asked innocently. John sighed and shook his head, "It is compulsory so please go there for our sake".

"What are you begging for? She will go if we say so, I don't want to argue over it anymore". The grandma harrumphed.

John pursed his lips, he patted Tia shoulder and nodded slightly as if giving her strength whereas Tia responded with a nod and a slight smile.

John moved away and took a glass of water kept in a jar at the side.

"So, what are you good at if not painting?"

"Gun, I am good with all kind of gun," Tia responded lightly to grandma.

At her words that was spoken lightly John choked on water while grandma turned slightly pale.

Staying with Tia for those days didn't make her realize at all that she was a terrorist because of her calmness and obeying behaviour.

Her stern voice softened maybe because of fear, "O-ok. Whatever… now come back to dress up".

She walked away leaving John with Tia.

"Don't take her words to heart. She is trying her best to appear strong but she isn't actually like this," John gave some consoling words.

Tia who was used to cold words nodded slightly.

"I will be announcing it today," Roff nudged Ryan's arm with his elbow.

He was in a formal attire looking charismatic. Black tuxedo that perfectly fitted his chiselled body, his handsome face vibed together.

Both the brothers were the centre of attraction in the big hotel where the party was being held.

Ryan nodded to his words as he took a sip of the red wine out of bore, "Do whatever you think is best. Anyway, you have gotten permission of grandpa so I am sure it won't be a problem".

"Huh, at least gramps know that villain is not suited for me. It would've been ridiculous if he had asked me to marry a fake just because he liked Leigh very mush, isn't it?" Roff was looking straight while talking to his brother who was standing beside him.

Ryan glanced at him once and chuckled, "Who knows why he asked you to cancel the marriage? Maybe…" a teasing smile left his face.

Roff scowled, "Maybe what?".

He wanted an answer but his breath became unstable when he saw Tia walking inside in a charming dress looking really pretty.
