Hot pink sleeveless dress that gave her a flowery look.
Grandma sighed. It took her a lot of effort to hurry up and help Tia wear the dress that belonged to Leigh. Though their body difference wasn't much but Tia body was perfectly in shape and so had a different size then Leigh because of which grandma had to work a bit harder by calling a tailer.
John had called a cab for Tia to go, he handed over the invitation card to her, "From here you will have to go alone".
Tia swallowed, she looked reluctant and nervous but nodded out of compulsion.
"Listen," grandma hard tone yanked Tia attention, "from here on you are Leigh Filin, my granddaughter. No matter what happens, keep your head up, do not let others laugh at you. You mustn't let my granddaughter down".
Though it was a quite strict tone, Tia felt somehow relaxed. She found it weird to feel like that in herself and replied, "Yes madam".
"Grandma…" the old lady pursed her lips and with an irritated look and shook her head once, "Call me grandma when we are outside of this house. Make it a habit of yours".
…
'It is kind of refreshing to go outside when my mind is filled with all kind of worry, but I guess I will be fine since I am Leigh right now'.
She sat silently in the back seat of the car looking beautiful and charming.
For Tia it was something she should feel ashamed of because as she started to stay at Leigh house, she started to feel nice and greedy.
She walked out when the car stopped at front door of a massive hotel that welcomed its guest with red carpet.
Guards were standing to check the guest invitation card and media has surrounded the red carpet from both sides to get a hot shot of VIPs but well Tia wasn't one of them.
She walked without getting much attention and as soon as she walked in, her heartbeat increased seeing a large crowd of people distributed in the big hall.
She had no idea what to do next after going there but one thing she remembered was to hand over the gift to Roff that was prepared by grandma.
She looked around. Though the photographers weren't really interested in capturing her image but people around her inside the hall kept glancing at her.
It was a good thing that she found Roff just by a few looks around her. beside him was Ryan and seeing him a smile instantly greeted her lips that she wasn't even aware of.
Just like a girl in love, she suddenly became aware of her dress and look. Her eyes that scanned her skirt and fingers that danced on her hair quickly prepared her to walk toward them and she finally stopped reaching Roff but her eyes were at Ryan.
"Hii". Ryan kindly greeted her and got a response smoothly.
Roff found it irritating seeing the girl eyes all over his brother. He was feeling quite protective toward Ryan and that's how his behaviour appeared as he stepped forward and snatched her attention.
"Leigh, you are finally here after living an easy life with someone else family!" the very first thing he said was filled with mockery.
"Roff!" Ryan frowned from behind and grabbed his arm. As Roff glanced back at his brother he got an irritated gesture but that wasn't his concerned, he continued with his wry tone.
Leigh pursed her lips and nodded while taking his words lightly. She had no wish to let him or Ryan know about the things that happened in grandma's house, "Yes. But I am still waiting for your orders".
She whispered moving her face closer to his so that others could not hear her.
Her emotionless and calm look even after standing so close to him got him more annoyed when his own heart was betraying him.
He clicked his tongue and turned his head slightly right while giving off an irritated smile, "Yes… I will soon be giving out orders but first I need to correct something. Wait for that surprise patiently".
He laughed and turned back. He was about to walk toward the stage where a pâtissier was bringing a castle like huge vanilla cake.
Leigh was astonished. From her childhood she has always wished to eat a whole cake by herself though she could only get a bit and pieces. Not in her life till now has she ever seen a cake this big and so she was left petrified to the point where she forgot to hand over the gift before Roff left.
Seeing her childishly amazed face, Ryan chuckled, "Do you like it".
Leigh slowly turned her eyes toward him, her lips parted and she nodded but soon she felt embarrassed and shut her mouth back, "That… everyone likes cake… maybe". She was embarrassed in front of the man she has come to take a liking to.
He giggled seeing her blushing face and while shaking his head once in amusement, he stopped smiling.
Leigh bright eyes were stuck at his hand that fixed the purple necktie with white stripe.
"Anyway, things might become difficult from here onwards. It will be troublesome so call me if you can't handle it anymore, I will take care of it".
Leigh eyes that stared at his thin lips sneakily looked back in his eyes curiously, "Huh?" she questioned in confusion not knowing what was the meaning of those words.
"You will know it soon," he turned back and stood next to her while looking at the stage and took a sip whereas Leigh whose eyes were at him for a few seconds nodded because she didn't want to trouble him with any more questions.
The girl too started to look at the stage where Roff was but soon she felt disappointed when Ryan left her side after getting a few guest that approached him first.
