'I always wanted to do this. Though I feel bad for Leigh now but I never loved her yet this fake girl makes me feel weird every time we met'
'Honestly she gets on my nerve.' Roff sighed holding a mic in his hand and staring constantly at Tia.
He removed his eyes from her and focused, 'Its ok. I am sure with this announcement I will feel a lot more comfortable'.
He didn't cut the cake first and as the centre of attention, the man who was the most wanted husband in the eyes of all the girls announced that he was no longer engaged.
Silence surrounded the hall but only for a few seconds but after that Tia could hear screams of girls going crazy. They were laughing cheerfully as if their dream has come true. But that also continued for only a few minutes since soon everyone hostile and amused gaze fall on Tia whom they considered Leigh.
Mocking her out loud, she was looked down by almost everyone. The girl who didn't get even a few people attention was now the centre of attention.
The focus was unwanted and she frowned. She understood what Ryan was trying to say and let out a deep sigh before throwing a glare at Roff who was staring her from afar while standing at the huge stage.
Roff smirked after getting her glare as if mocking her.
'Honestly… he could've announced that after I have left this place. It's too crowded and everyone is staring me. How am I going to deal with it?'
The uncomfortable situation was troubling Leigh. She wasn't used to this much attention but at least she broke the crowd hope of seeing a girl full of tears.
While her eyes were staring the crowd, she didn't realize when Roff came back and stood so closer to her to the point of startling her and she backed off.
It was because of the tension building up inside the hall and her mind, that she couldn't feel the presence of this man that took her by surprise and she creased her brows glaring him.
He took a step forward, minimising the distance between them once again and moved his head closer to hers to whisper mockery, "You weren't thinking that you can get a rich and handsome fiancé free with a new identity, right?"
Leigh brows crease increased, she was taken aback by the words she has never given any thought to, but suddenly she was getting to hear it.
And with that said he moved back and held her hand kindly and slowly, "Its best for us to go our separate ways since I can't give you the love you accept from me. But I will wish for you to find your real love".
"Leigh?" he yanked the girl who was staring him aimlessly, "You understand me, right? Since this engagement was our grandparents wish, I hope you will not hold grudges against me".
He drew his eyebrows up, lips pursed as he nodded cutely while keeping the act of being an angel who was trying to sooth his ex-fiancée.
Leigh unintentionally left a wry chuckle and jolted her hand back from him.
'Well, I am Leigh right now and as grandma wished I must keep my head up in every situation so as to keep Leigh's honour intact.' She gave a savage look to him while being in a deeper thought, 'And also from our first interaction to now, I never liked this irritating man so even if I am a terrorist, who cares… until I am useful, he can't throw me into the prison so I might take this chance'.
A savage smile that Roff saw for the first time on her face, his eyes widened feeling goosebumps while looking at her face.
Leigh with a smile nodded, "You are right, I will look for the right man for me. Honestly you are too dry to shower love at me but I don't blame you since that is something a person would have naturally but unfortunately you…" she rolled her eyes with a dark smirk and patted his shoulder, "Anyways, don't feel bad, I wish you will meet your match soon".
She looked at the gift in her hand and handed over to the man who was too stunned to speak. After that she walked out leaving the huge hall filled with crowds in silence.
Roff who finally came back to his senses while seeing her leave, fumed in rage, breathing deeply in anger he gritted, 'How dare she… how dare a mere terrorist insult me on my own birthday party and at my face.'
He wanted to scream out at her but he had his reputation as a gentle man to save so he kept it inside himself though his red face showed it all.
'Just wait… I will make you beg for it! Soon you will be crying your eyes out when you fall for me.'
His heartbeat that was loud was aroused by the girl action. He who was feeling anger had no option but to put a smile on his face while facing all the guest.
…
"How stubborn can one be!!" a scream came out from Leigh's behind when she was at the backyard of the hotel, trying to calm herself down.
"If you don't care about your reputation at least care for our mother!"
Leigh at first ignored the voice coming from behind her but the next sentence made her turn back and for her surprise she was soon faced by violence.
