"We have to get out of here,"I say to Sophie as Miles continues walking towards us with a purposeful step.
Sophie doesn't get a chance to say anything because Miles appears infront of us.But before he can say anything,Dante cuts him off by standing between us.
"I'm going to have to ask you to keep your distance from Miss Rivera,sir,"Dante says to Miles,managing to make those words sound threatening and polite.
"What?"I hear Miles say in a surprise.
Dante is between us so I can't see his face.
"You heard me,"Dante says menacingly.
I'm pretty sure that he must be seeing Miles as a threat because of my reaction to his presence.
"Uhm...It's okay,Dante.This isn't necessary,"I say from behind the mountain of a man so that he doesn't end up snapping innocent Miles in two.
"You know him?"he asks,his face still turned from me.
"Yep.W-we go way back.He wouldn't hurt me,"I reassure him.
