Outside of the Escoffier's Residence, Inside of the Archduke's Carriage
"That's… I didn't know, I'm sorry to hear that," Ines mumbled in disbelief.
The Archduke sighed at her words. He had reacted in a similar fashion when he found out about Nidra's passing.
Whilst processing his words, she abruptly froze.
'Eugene? Nidra?' She thought, recalling the title of the book she had stolen. Was that room her private chamber? Then… those letters were from the Duke?
"Do you understand why I told you this?" The Archduke said out of the blue.
"…No."
"This is my first lesson to you, Ines. Remember this: never meddle with the 'Higher Powers' of the supernatural."
"I understand," Ines said.
After a moment of deliberation, she asked, "What was Miss Nidra's power exactly? If this is such a big issue, why don't textbooks ever talk about it?"
The Archduke shook his head and despondently laughed after hearing her question.
