As I stepped out of my house, I felt the crisp morning air hit my face. The sun was shining brightly in the sky and the birds were chirping happily. My mother was waiting for me at the doorstep, and as I walked towards her, she handed me a map and kissed me on the cheek. "Good luck by the way! Don't come home too late. Make sure you don't get lost and listen to your teachers! Good luck dear!" She wished me good luck for the day ahead, and I could feel her warm affection wash over me.
However, my companion, the sword, had other plans. "Aww... We got a momma's boy how cute!" It was already taunting me, calling me a little boy and making fun of me. I tried to ignore it, but its constant jibes were starting to get on my nerves.
As we started walking towards the school, I couldn't help but notice how bustling the city was. The streets were full of people, some of them tall, some of them short, and some of them even flying. I had never seen so much activity before, and I felt a sense of awe and wonder wash over me.
As I was taking in my surroundings, I spotted a familiar face. It was the girl that I had saved from the bus accident a few days ago. I couldn't believe my eyes. Why was she here in the city? Was she following me? Or was it just a coincidence?
I decided to approach her and find out. The sword, on the other hand, suggested that I call out to her. I was hesitant at first, but the sword's persistence got the better of me, and I decided to give it a try.
I ran as fast as I could, following the girl I had saved before. The sword taunted me, calling me a little boy and urging me to give up the chase. But I couldn't let her go, not when I had so many unanswered questions.
As we ran through the crowded streets, we bumped into people and objects left and right. I dodged a flying car and jumped over a fountain, all while keeping my eyes locked on the girl ahead of me. She was fast, but I was determined to catch up to her.
We weaved through alleyways and side streets, trying to shake each other off our tails. I could hear the pounding of my heart in my ears and my breaths came in short gasps as we continued our chase. It felt like we had been running for ages, but neither of us showed any signs of slowing down.
I caught a glimpse of her turning a corner up ahead, and I pushed myself harder, willing my legs to go faster. As I rounded the corner, I saw her darting across a busy street. I waited for a gap in the traffic before sprinting across the road, my heart racing with fear.
We continued our chase through the city, leaping over cars, dodging street vendors, and weaving through groups of people. I could feel the sweat pouring down my face and my legs starting to tire, but I refused to give up. I was determined to find out why she was here.
Finally, we ended up in a park. I could see her up ahead, running towards a small grove of trees. I followed her, not sure what to expect. As we entered the grove, I saw her up ahead, perched on a small ledge.
I called out to her, my voice was hoarse with exhaustion. She turned to face me, and I could see the fear in her eyes. She backed away slowly as if trying to escape. I approached her carefully, trying not to startle her.
But as I got closer, she disappeared like a bubble, leaving me stranded on the ledge. I stumbled, my foot slipping off the edge, and I fell. My heart felt like it had stopped as I plummeted toward the ground.
But then, something miraculous happened. I felt something grab onto my leg, stopping me from falling. I looked down to see a bunch of tree roots had entangled themselves around my leg, preventing me from hitting the ground.
I breathed a sigh of relief as I looked around, trying to make sense of what had just happened. The grove was beautiful, with tall trees reaching up towards the sky and flowers of every color scattered across the ground.
I looked down at my leg, trying to pry the roots off. But they seemed to be stuck fast. I tugged and pulled, but they refused to budge.
The sword laughed at my predicament, mocking me for being trapped like a helpless child. But I refused to give up hope. I knew there had to be a way out of this. "You're already stuck on your first day?"
"Ugh! Is that girl running away from me? I just wanted to talk to her!" I shouted furious at how it left me hanging from a cliff with only a tree root to keep me from falling down.
"I suppose you're not exactly the best with women I'm afraid. Just talking to one makes them run away from you." The sword jested at the situation but I was just rolling my eyes over what happened.
Suddenly the tree roots started to pull me up from the ledge. I can feel a sharp pain from my arm as it tried to pull me gently but the sharp rocks in the corner penetrated my skin, making me, grit my teeth in pain. "Ouch!" I explained in pain as the roots kept pulling on my leg.
"Don't move so much!" A feminine voice shouted from the top. "I'm pulling you up so unless you want a splinter, you won't move." She commanded me, making me as still as a feather.
Who is this person?! I'm guessing it's their abilities that are controlling the roots?
