I look down and see the woman struggling to stand up. She looked very regal, with her blonde hair and slender body but she was clearly angry, I could feel air blowing away from her as if her presence is causing everything to move away from her, she was fierce and the air felt heavier when she was around. This was clearly a woman that I shouldn't have messed with.
I extend my hand to help her up, but before I could, she screams at me with eyes glowing white, and rain starts pouring down heavily. The sight is overwhelming, and the other students start to gather around us, creating a circle. The thunder and lightning were enough to make me shiver in my boots.
I look at her tab, and I see that her Origin is "Storm Chaser," and she's a level 30. I immediately realize that I'm in deep trouble. People with high levels are incredibly powerful, and their abilities can be dangerous. I have to be cautious and not provoke her. This is so unlucky that I had a run into someone like her. I wasn't even trying to piss off anybody.
"I'm sorry. I didn't see you," I say, trying to defuse the situation.
"Don't give me that excuse!" she yells, clearly not accepting my apology. "Next time watch where you are going. Clearly, you're eyes don't work if you don't see me walking here. Don't you have any brain?" She started berating me. I took a deep breath as I felt my heart sinking to my stomach, she was very scary.
"I'm pretty sure she's right about that, you really need to get that brain fixed Yamiru!" The sword chimed in, chuckling about the situation.
"No, I wasn't. I genuinely didn't see you. It was an accident," I explain, hoping that she would understand but she was having none of it.
"An accident? Look at me! I'm drenched, and it's your fault!" she shouts, her voice echoing throughout the hallway. I can see her dress covered in mud as she tried to remove them. Damn, that must be very expensive and I just ruined it with dirt.
I look around, and I see that the other students are scared, some of them are whispering and cowering behind each other's backs. They know who she is, and they know how dangerous she can be. This is really bad.
"I'm sorry," I say again, hoping that my apology will make her calm down.
"You better be sorry," she warns me, her eyes still glowing white. "If you ever cross my path again, I'll make sure you regret it. The next time you walk here, make sure you're looking around or I'll make sure all your eyes see is nothing. Got it!"
With that, she storms off, leaving me and Basil standing in the middle of the hallway, drenched from the rain. As she leaves the weather becomes normal again and the whispers of the other students are still heard. Damn, I didn't know I would make such a grand entrance on my first day of school.
"That was close," Basil says, wiping the raindrops off his face. "You could have been seriously hurt. She seems rather aggressive. She's probably the most aggressive Storm Chaser I've ever seen." Basil explains to me.
"Oh yeah. I saw it from the tab next to her. What's a storm chaser exactly?" I ask Basil who seems to be knowledgeable about these things.
"Storm chasers are an origin than is one with the weather usually. They are able to control and affect the weather solely based on their emotions so they are usually calm and collected but this one is really strong since just from her anger alone, she was able to make it rain and thunder, usually, it would take multiple storm chasers that are angry to make the weather this bad but her power is very strong if she can do all of that." Basil explains to me. "You need to be careful around her or she'll destroy you."
"You really messed up big time there." One of the students voices out.
"Yeah. You just messed with Lyn the Thunderstrike, after she moved from this school she's been destroying the other classes in magical combat." A short-statured student voices out.
"I heard she took out the top 1 fighter in the second year during the orientation day we had, the seniors were showing us what we would learn in the school and they asked for a volunteer to spar and she wiped the floor with them." An elf-looking student says to us.
"Yeah, and the guy is still in the hospital after she didn't hold back on him. You really messed up big time there." A fairy-like student whispers to me, making me feel nervous about everything that had just happened.
"And that temper too darling, she's always so mad about everything.." A sassy-looking student chimes in.
"I know," I reply, still shaken from the encounter. "I didn't mean to upset her. I genuinely didn't see her."
"Good luck with her." All the students around us collectively said before they started to stay away from me. I suppose they didn't want to get involved with me after what had just happened to avoid Lyn at all costs. I guess it's understandable why they would stay away from me.
"Seems like somebody already has a girlfriend on his first day of school!" The sword jokingly makes a comment.
"A girlfriend... yeah right.. she hates my guts you know. I really made a bad impression on her." I worried.
"Don't worry about it. It's her loss. You're a good person, and she missed out on getting to know you," Basil assures me. "Though it's best if you actually be more careful."
"Thanks, Basil," I say, feeling a little better. "Let's go get to class before it starts. Classes are about to start anyway!"
As we walk away, I can't help but think about the encounter with the Storm Chaser. I need to be more careful in the future and not let my clumsiness cause any more problems.
