The moment Minos stepped inside the house, he could feel a couple eyes lock onto him. However the people in charge of watching seemed to realize why Minos entered, hence they didn't stare at him for long.
Even though he had managed to temporarily avoid their suspicions, he knew if he was inside for too long, they would start asking questions, so he had to be fast.
The house was quite large, which made it hard for Minos to know where to start his search, especially given the little time he had.
Ultimately he decided to search the patriarch's room. As the most powerful person in the family, if anyone knew something about the inheritance, it would be him.
While he didn't know for sure which one was the patriarch's room, by quicking running from room to room, he eventually stumbled upon a large room, more pristine than the rest.
Without a moment's delay, he began searching the room, but given the limited time, he didn't find anything.
Just as he was about to call it quits, he noticed a large portrait hanging on the wall beside the bed.
It was completely covered in cobwebs and dust, making what was underneath hard to distinguish, but Minos could make out that it was a family portrait, he could even see a young Venix.
He rubbed away the grim, revealing a happy family portrait. Father, wife, and son, all smiling, but those smiles instantly revealed something else to Minos.
He quickly realized that Venix's father, much like him, also had a slightly darker metallic tooth.
A light bulb instantly went off in Minos's mind. Quickly hanging the portrait back up, he ran back downstairs, grabbed the ball, and left.
The eyes once again locked onto him, but seeing as he had nothing on him other than the ball, they once again lost interest.
Minos signed in relief. Fortunately he had got everything done in time, but there was still one more thing he had to do before he could possibly find out where the inheritance was, and that was finding Venix's father's burial.
Luckily that wasn't exactly hard to do. By inadvertently asking the kids after he returned with the ball, he was told that there was a large cemetery a kilometer from the town that was the Elron's family burial grounds.
Heading back to the inn, he entered his room before unrolling his map. Based on the information he got from that group of kids, he jotted down an X on a certain spot.
The day was still young, so Minos wasted no time. He tossed on a large robe before buying a shovel at a nearby store under the owner's strange gaze.
Paying no heed to this, Minos left. After a 20 minute walk, he arrived at the Elron Family Cemetery.
The atmosphere here was incredibly depressing, but Minos ignored it. He began walking past the tombstones that lined the dirt, eventually finding one labelled 'Ethrum Elron'
The information Minos bought from Jabar naturally included the names of Venix's father and mother, so he was quick to find the person he was looking for.
Under the shade of the foliage of the large maple trees, Minos got to work. After an exhausting half hour of digging, he finally revealed Ethrum's coffin.
Flipping open the coffin revealed a body that was still in good condition. If it wasn't for the ghoulishly pale skin, one may even imagine he was just taking a nap.
Minos pried upon his mouth and quickly found the tooth he was looking for. With a little bit of force, the tooth popped right out, clearly having gotten loose over the years.
Minos inspected the tooth from all angles, and it seemed to be completely normal, other than obviously being fake.
When he shook it hard enough, however, he could hear a very slight rattle inside. The noise was incredibly discrete, and even when he went out of his way to listen hard, he could barely hear it.
