The bandit in the lead walked into the temple without pause, and just as Minos anticipated, he stepped full force into the sharpened stick, causing his foot to begin to bleed.
"What the hell? Boss, some bastard laid a trap here." The skinny bandit screamed out.
"Trap? What kind of idiot would use some tiny stick as a trip?" Just as the boss said those words, the blood from the stick finally dripped onto the talisman paper, igniting it.
A bright light suddenly appeared in the darkness of night, illuminating everything with a hundred meter radius.
The bandits were clearly caught off guard, all of them clutching at their water eyes, screaming out in misery.
The bright light also woke Minos right up. He immediately jumped into a fighting stance before turning to the bandits who had suddenly appeared.
"We're just merchants, we mean no harm! We only want to spend the night here to escape the darkness." The bandit leader quickly said as he kept clutching his eyes, trying to lower Minos's guard.
But with a quick glance, Minos could see the sharpened weapons they all had buckled to their waists. Minos could also slightly smell the scent of blood, which meant those weapons had been used recently.
On top of all that, with the Shining Talisman acting as a light, Minos looked into the night, yet failed to see a single caravan. What kind of merchants would travel with no goods?
All these thoughts happened in a single instance within Minos's mind, letting him come to the conclusion that these people were likely dangerous.
Since that's the case, there was no longer any need to hold back. He pulled out an Ice Shard Talisman before activating it and aiming it at the bandit leader.
Since he was the first person who talked, Minos guessed that he was likely the leader, and to that extent, probably the strongest one in the group.
The Ice Shard Talisman quickly turned into ashes while an ice shard was forming in the air, getting larger and larger.
After half a second, the fully formed ice shard propelled out at a tremendous speed. Nailing the bandit leader right in the head.
It tore through his flesh with ease, leaving behind a fist sized hole in its wake. Minos couldn't help but be slightly surprised at its strength, but naturally he was happy.
With his body collapsing on the floor, the six other bandits seemed to be alerted. Unfortunately their eyes were still blinded at this moment, so they still had no idea what exactly had just happened.
Seeing how the bandits were reacting to the Shining Talisman let Minos know they were quite weak, hence he decided to not waste anymore talisman's.
With a few quick steps, he was soon in front of the skinny bandit who had taken the lead earlier. Since there was no one around, Minos had no reason to hold back his power, so he unleashed his strongest punch with no reservations.
'Shining Fist Through Planet.'
This move was naturally a combination of his Shining Fist and his Green Bull Through Planet. Having the 100% strength bonus of the Green Bull Through Planet attack, and the 2x speed bonus of his Shining Fist punch.
This blow was naturally far more devastating than either of those techniques used alone, and the bandit ended up being the perfect testing dummy.
As Minos's fist landed squarely in the bandit's face, it was like a bowling ball had been dropped on a watermelon, and with a gross squishing sound, the bandits head exploded into a hundred bits.
Minos licked his mouth, tasting the blood that had landed on his lip. He had nearly forgotten the taste of blood. It was the taste of the real world, one where death may wait on any corner.
Using the same move, Minos went from bandit to bandit. And after only half a dozen seconds, the last corpse hit the floor.
