Minos's entire world started to shake the moment he stepped into the rocky wall, and he couldn't help but feel sick. Fortunately the dizziness soon vanished, and Minos's entire body seemed to plummet back to the earth.
After spending a few seconds regaining his bearings, Minos finally began to inspect the new world in front of him.
This secret realm was indistinguishable from the real world, with a blue sky, thick vegetation, and even a fake sun to top it all off.
If Minos didn't know this was a secret realm, he would just assume he was in the real world. The level of power that's required to pull off a stunt like this couldn't help but make Minos yearn, further solidifying his desire to walk the path of cultivation.
Beyond the strikingly real looking world, Minos also noticed that Venix had vanished. It seems the realm portal transports everyone to a random location, which is both a good and bad thing for Minos.
Minos decided to first find a high point to get a view of his surroundings. He was currently surrounded by thick foliage, and he couldn't even tell where exactly he was located.
Finding a small hill that stretched up beyond the trees, he spent about ten minutes climbing to the top.
Almost immediately, Minos noticed a bright pillar of light located around ten kilometers ahead of him, seemingly in the middle of the secret realm.
It didn't take a genius to guess that was the first goal of this test, so Minos wasted no time and began heading in its direction.
Of course, as a test, how could things ever be easy? It didn't take much walking before a large grey wolf popped out of the woods, growling at Minos.
This was no ordinary beast, instead it was a demonic beast. Much like cultivators, demonic beasts can similarly cultivate, however their strength is mainly determined by their bloodline, unlike humans.
This was the first time Minos had faced off against a demonic beast, but he wasn't afraid. He didn't even mind killing humans, much less a wild animal.
Minos could have used his talisman to easily crush this beast, who didn't even have the intelligence to try to avoid them, but that was too easy.
It's not often he had such a good chance to refine his combat skills, so unless he absolutely had to, he already planned to limit his talisman use as much as possible.
The talisman's were also his trump cards, so naturally the more he had on hand, the better. With that thought in mind, Minos propelled forwards, swinging a fist at the beast.
The wolf opened its massive gaping jaw, seemingly wanting to devour Minos in a single go, but of course Minos wouldn't let that happen.
With a quick side step, he avoided the wolf's lunge. While the beast was still in the air, Minos quickly pivoted his body to the side, before propelling his knee upwards into the beast's stomach at full force.
The wolf flew into the air as it spat out blood, but Minos knew that one hit alone wasn't enough, so while it was still airborne, he unleashed another move.
'Shining Kick'
This was a technique Minos had made in his spare time. Just attacking with his fists was too simple and easy to predict, so he decided to add a kick into his ensemble.
The Shining Kick similarly made use of Minos's talisman knowledge. Having further refined his control of his body, Minos could twist the veins in his legs, making use of the "Shining Talisman" in his kicks as well.
With the 2x speed bonus of his Shining Kick, his foot flew upwards at a tremendous speed, landing firmly on the wolf's jaw.
Minos spun backwards, doing a flip in the air, before landing elegantly. The wolf also landed at this time, of course its landing was quite devastating.
While externally, the wolf's head was still connected to its body, internally, the force of that kick completely ripped apart the neck bone, disconnecting it from the rest of the body, and naturally killing the wolf instantly.
Minos pulled out a knife and started peeling away at the wolf's meat. He had no food on him at the moment, so naturally he had to prepare something just in case.
