Soon Minos completed his second "Nux Gathering" stroke, connecting the two as if they were one to begin with.
With the confidence that came with two successful strokes, Minos kept going. Third stroke, fourth, fifth. Soon the last stroke was completed, and Minos pulled away his brush without a single second of delay.
His month of training his calligraphy in the mud had clearly paid off, allowing his hand to move exactly as his heart dictated it to.
Of course until Minos activated the talisman with his blood, he wouldn't know for certain whether it was truly successful or not, but just by comparing with what he had drawn to what was inscribed in the book, he was quite confident.
Of course before any of that, he had to let the ink dry, only then would the talisman truly be considered complete.
Fortunately the beast ink dried quite fast, so after only ten minutes of waiting, Minos could check the results.
Picking up the talisman with care, as if it was a new born baby, Minos looked at it intently, comparing what he had memorized from the "Talisman Foundations" book to it.
Seeing no mistake, his confidence was further enhanced. Without a moment's delay, he bit into his thumb before rubbing the blood onto the back of the talisman paper.
The talisman paper started shining intensely, nearly blinding Minos. Fortunately he already knew what to expect, so he quickly closed his eyes before too much damage was done.
However, even through his eyelids he could see the bright light. It was clear that if someone was unfortunate enough to have this shined directly in their eyes without any warning, they'd likely go blind for a few seconds.
While not directly a combat talisman, this ability made it quite useful in a fight if the opponent didn't expect it, hence Minos could already predict the result of his battle with Gantel.
The handyman disciple competition was set in four days. Minos spent that time stocking up on talisman, making two "Shining Talisman's" and one "Fireball Talisman"
The "Talisman Foundation" book taught three talismans in total, with the last being the "Ice Shard Talisman" which required 26 strokes, nearly making it a mid-level talisman.
For the time being however, Minos didn't require it, hence he prioritized the other two talisman for the time being.
Without even realizing, the day of the tournament had come. Minos woke up to the excitement of the handyman disciples. This was one of the rare times when something interesting happened, hence everyone seemed extra exuberant.
Even with how far away Minos's hut was from everyone else, he could still hear the shouts, just proving the anticipation everyone had.
Minos headed to the handyman disciple area, pushing through the crowd to reach a better spot.
Up on the stage was the handyman deacon elder, who everyone referred to as Master Lero. He cleared his throat before speaking in a loud voice that instantly silenced the entire crowd.
"The annual handyman disciple tournament is once again among us. This is your chance to propel in life, and even become an outer disciple. Naturally I don't need to say much, I think you all understand fully how important this battle is, hence I wish everyone the best of luck." Master Lero kept his words short and simple, but did nothing to stop the crowd's excitement.
"Who do you guys think will win this year?" Asked one young man, with a naive look on his face.
"Kid, you must not have been in the sect for long, otherwise you wouldn't have asked such a stupid question. Everyone knows senior brother Eflar will win." Said a tough looking man.
"You said no one would ask such a stupid question, yet you managed to give such a stupid answer. Don't listen to him boy, senior sister Pinela will win." Uttered a young girl with full confidence.
The tough looking man seemed to have heard the best joke in his life, breaking into a fit of laughter. "Pinela? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. It's about a thousand years too early for a woman to ever win."
