Liam went over towards the melee tutor to begin his swordsman dream. The tutor was a large well built middle aged man with his upper body on show. Liam could see many battle scars across his chest and arms indicating he had been in the wars before.
As Liam got closer he realised that the melee tutor was much taller than him towering at almost 7 foot. Behind him leaning against the wall was a massive greatsword. It was silver grey in colour and was about 2 metres in length. Liam gasped at the size of the sword as it was bigger than him, he wonder how the tutor could even use a sword that large.
Despite his shocked Liam continued to move towards the tutor.
"Hello, I want to change to a melee class" Liam stated his business with the tutor.
"So you want to fight up close and personal, that's the best way to do so. Not like those pansy classes where you stand at the back and just throw spells or fire arrows" The melee tutor, who Liam came to know was called Derek, showed his disdain for the other class types. "Swinging a sword has a better thrill than anything you can think. Being able to slice flesh and bones of your enemies and bath in their blood up close, nothing beats it. Hahaha"
'I can think I few that can' Liam didn't show his thoughts on his face as he listen to Derek rave about how great melee weapons are.
"Okay, you will from now on be a Novice Warrior. This class will stay will you till you reach tier 1 and can go to towns on the mainland. There you can go into more specialised classes tailored to one weapon, like swordsman or pikeman"
[You have successfully become a novice warrior]
"And here is a novice gift box with a few weapons for you to pick and choose" Derek then handed Liam a small box.
[Received novice melee weapon box]
"Plus this basic skill book which every melee warrior needs"

After getting these items Liam checked the information on his new class and items.

After Liam was happy with what he saw and thanked Derek he left the class hall and continued exploring the village.
First he went next door to the class hall but found it was an ordinary home, next he found the item shop. The outside of the store had a sign in front that said 'Sundries' but he guess he was in the right place after seeing a few rows of bottles with red and blue liquids displayed in the window.
Liam made his way into the store and saw an old woman manning the till. She looked to be in her 60s with wrinkles showing on her face. She had a kind smile showing as she watch Liam come in.
"How can I help you young man?"
"I need some healing potions." Liam answered immediately and then went to have a look at the potions on display.
"All we have are the basic potions and they cost 50 bronze coins each"
"What?" Liam was startled at the price and realised that he couldn't afford any for the time being with his piddling 10 bronze in his inventory.
"It seems I can't afford any for now so I will come back later"
"Very well young man. Come back soon"
After saying goodbye to the old woman Liam continued looking around the village but came to the conclusion that the rest were just houses, so he decided to make his way over the the biggest building to get his first quest.
