In front of Liam was a tree, unsurprising in a forest, but this tree was huge. It stood at well of 8000 metres in height and it's trunk was wide enough to allow 100 people linking hands to circle around it.
However the tree seemed to be dying as he could not see a single leaf on its branches and the bark of the tree was a deathly grey colour.
"Is someone finally here?" A weak voice startled Liam and he began looking around for the source.
As Liam continued to look around he noticed an opening in the tree's trunk and cautiously walked over.
The hole wasn't very large and Liam had to crouch to get through. But he was startled once again as he saw what was on the other side of the hole, it was like an entirely different world.
He could see snow capped mountains in the distance with verdant plains in front. A wide river was flowing through the centre sparkling as the sunlight hit it. However what ruined the lovely atmosphere was that he could see the deathly grey colour again in the furthest reaches and as he looked around he could tell that it was bordering this beautiful scene and eating away at its majesty.
"Finally someone has come" Liam heard the voice again. In front of him then appear a small plant that grew larger in front of his eyes.
Once the plant grew to half his height it started flowering. As the petals opened up Liam noticed a small person lying inside the flower.
The person was tiny, Liam estimated that they could stand in the palm of his hand with room to spare. He made his way over to the flower, he could see the grey discolouration in it too meaning the flower was dying too.
Once Liam reach the flower he noticed the little person open their eyes. They showed a pure bright look despite the surroundings but also the melancholy and despair that the person was also feeling at the time.
"Welcome traveller of another world. I'm Anri and you have stepped into the realm of the feys." Anri looked around for a second "or what's left of it"
Anri's sad tone could be felt clearly, there was certainly a story here.
"Hello I am known as Strider" Liam greeted the being he now realised was a fairy and went on to ask "What has happened here? Feels like everything is dying."
"Unfortunately that is a long story and I'm afraid we don't have much time. Your arrival here has stirred the being sleeping beyond the grey mist." The fairy Anri was anxious and looked towards the deathly mist in the far reaches worried that whatever hides there will come out.
"I have a selfish request. Please take this seed of the Fey Tree and plant it in the fey homeland on the Holy Continent. All feys are born within that realm but with the mother tree it is impossible" Anri was whimpering as she spoke the last words.
'I'm guessing that big tree I saw is the Fey Tree, but what happened to get like it did' Liam was lost in his thoughts when he heard Anri speak.
"What happened to the tree outside?" Liam wanted more information before taken on the quest as he realised it could be more dangerous that the details show.
"Demons came and destroyed it. We managed to teleporter the Mother Tree from our homeland to here but it seems one of them came with us and is slowly devouring the life force. We use as much of the remaining life force to create the seed while the demon slept but once it wakes up it will rampage knowing it had been stolen"
It was then that a rumble happened in the distance. "Oh no the demon has awoken. Please will you help me?" Anri's plea was desperate.
"Yes I'll help you" Liam didn't have long to think about his choice as he felt danger from the mist even though it was just a game.
"Here please take this" Anri handed Liam a small seed. It didn't look remarkable in the least, it was similar to any average seed you would plant in the fields. The only thing that stood out was a slight green glow that would periodically flash showing signs of life.

After the notifications Liam then found himself being pulled out of the realm.
"This is the last thing I can do for you" It would seem Anri was the one forcing Liam out of the realm which was rumbling even more now.
"What about you?" In reality Liam wasn't worried about the fairy but felt that his asking may help with the quest down the line.
"Don't worry about me. I'll be find the demon won't be able to catch me"
With those last words Liam found himself back in front of the tree, but he noticed that the tree was fading out of existence like it was gone to dispear. Then will a small poof sound the tree vanished leaving a massive clearing in the middle of the forest.
Liam was stunned for awhile looking at the area where a massive tree used to be a sighed.
"Okay let's check this quest out" With that said Liam opened his quest log and found what he was looking for.
