"Hey master." Night said as soon as it was in front of Dan, "Don't call me master, call me Dan." Dan immediately corrected Night, "Right, Dan. I think I should tell you about how I know the name of the demon you fought was Mammon." Night said before studying Dan's reaction, "Are you gonna tell me or not?" Dan asked as he got impatient waiting for Night to continue, "Sorry, it's just that I'm not sure how you'll feel if I were to tell you how I know Mammon." Night confessed to Dan who shrugged his shoulders before giving a reply, "Look, I don't care how you know that demon you call Mammon or why you'll think I'll overreact but tell me at your own convenient time. Now, hand over the core, I wanna study it." Dan responded before stretching out his hand to receive the core.
"I was sent to watch you." Night blurted out, "What?" Dan asked as he was shocked with what Night said, he was shocked with Night's response, "I ask you for a core and you reply with 'I was sent to watch you'?" Dan asked as he slowly approached Night, "That doesn't have anything to do with my request, now hand over the core." Dan said before stretching out his hand expectantly, Night opened its mouth and in it was the core, Dan took it before heading to the desk in his room, he sat down on the chair and turned to Night.
"Are you gonna explain or what?" Dan asked Night while he looked at the core in his hands, "I was but a practically mindless demon when Mammon found and captured me. During the period of detainment, he frequently touched my head, at first I was livid at such disrespect but eventually I got used to it and on the six hundred and sixty sixth time, a new sense of clarity dawned upon me, one in which Emperor Class Demons will envy, I saw the world differently. When Mammon noticed, he introduced himself and told me my mission, 'Find the Divine Supreme Class Demon' he always said before he let me go and that's when I saw you fighting and killing that demon in the woods, I felt insulted that a mere human was capable of beating our kind so easily so I attacked you and you know the rest." Night said to Dan while reducing his tone in the last parts but the latter marely looked at Night before sighing, "That's what you were so scared of telling me, so anticlimactic and besides I'm no Divine Supreme Class Demon as you put it. Is that all?" Dan asked Night as he kept his eyes on the core, "Yes that's all master, I mean Dan." Night responded to Dan who gave a light smile before focusing back on the core, it had sparks that appeared on its surface once in a while, Dan lifted it up before rubbing his hand against one side, it released a powerful wave of static electricity that made EVERY hair on Dan's body stand, "Yeah, I forgot to tell yo--" Mr. Isaac said as he opened the door but stopped when he noticed the bat and the core in Dan's hands.
