Chapter 26 - Different

"You have got to be kidding me!" Dan groaned loud enough for Tom to hear, "Are you scared?" Tom asked Dan, mistaking his complaint for fear, "No, not that, I'm not scared, it's more like I don't want to beat someone up so soon." Dan replied nonchalantly and was heading to his dorm when Tom obstructed his path.

"Beat me up? The sedatives they gave you in the hospital are obviously still in play, so I'll beat you to awareness." Tom threatened still seeing Dan as the same weak boy from a month ago, he knew Dan most likely had an ability but what was the worst he could do?

"You better award me for this." Dan warned the system, "I was hoping my first will be a first year like me but life has other plans, hope you'll forgive me." Dan said, this time referring to Tom, Dan grabbed Tom's shoulder and activated Demon Sprint, Tom's vision shifted and the next he knew, he was a few meters away from the academy, 10 meters to be exact.

Dan had used to refill his energy to as high as it could go and that just happened to be 13. Tom appeared to be in a haze, "How did we get here?" Tom asked in a panicked tone before his eyes settled on Dan, Dan Demon Sprinted to Tom and held him by the throat, just like he had held him a month prior.

Tom could have reacted but everything happened too fast, Dan while still Tom got filled with curiosity and activated Demon Siphon.

Dan dropped Tom and looked him in the eyes, "It is funny how our roles have switched. First, you were the bully, now you are bullied." Tom's face turned red from embarrassment, he rose his hand to the sky, expecting thunder clouds to form but nothing happened.

"Did you mean to do this?" Dan asked before raising up HIS hand, the sky turned dark, thunder claps resounded throughout the academy, Dan pointed his index finger at the spot beside Tom's head and a bolt of lighting struck there.

The clouds immediately dissipated, leaving Dan with 5 mana points, he activated and refilled his mana back to 15, "I didn't siphon all of his lightning cause I didn't want to leave him powerless but seeing as I am going to kill, might as well do it." Dan concluded loudly, acting as if Tom could not hear him.

Dan squatted, placed his arm on Tom and siphoned every last drop of lightning ability he had.

Dan became serious after reading the last notification, the system had given him a resurrection skill, a skill many can and will kill for, Dan's appreciation for the system skyrocketed.

"Okay, time to die." Dan said uncaringly as if he was talking about the weather, "Scream 20 times and you might get to live but don't forget to weep." Dan said, excitement seeping into his voice making him seem insane.

Tom saw this as mercy and started to scream and shed tears, "Your tears are not moving me, let me help." Dan said into Tom's ear before proceeding to break his arms, Tom screamed at the top of his lungs, "Good job, now I'll set you free." Dan said before snapping Tom's neck.

Dan distributed 50 points to strength, 30 to speed and the rest to agility, his stats are as follows.

Dan smiled as he reviewed his new stats, he really was different but a problem remained, how will he get rid of Tom's body.
