Dan slowly opened his eyes, he saw the blurred figure of a man next to him, his vision slowly came to it and he saw that the man was Grey, "You are finally awake." Grey said as he stood up from his sitting position beside Dan, "I have to be honest, that was the strangest ability transference I have ever witnessed. You didn't scream nearly as much as expected. For a second, I thought I messed up." Grey said, his voice slowly fading as he moved closer before entering a cabin, most likely the cabin he and Dan had come from.
'Wait didn't I receive a notification?' Dan asked himself before pulling up his system screen.
Dan took each word to heart, he was excited that he had gotten a new skill and couldn't wait to try it, noticing that Grey was still out of sight, Dan stood up eager to test it out. His stats were as follows.
'Everything seems to be full, how do I get rid of enegy.' Dan asked himself still as eager as possible to test his new skill and as if hearing him, the system sent him a notification.
Dan would have celebrated for getting two skills in a day without risking his life but the system had called him out for being weak and he couldn't stand it, "I don't like being weak and you don't want me to be weak, is there anything that can be done?" Dan asked the system like it was alive and it replied.
Dan felt himself go numb after reading the last set of words, he was losing his mind, 'Okay, let me try my new skill.' Dan thought, eager to change the subject, he crouched and started to run before activating Demon Sprint, Dan's saw everything flash by and when he checked his new location, he discovered that he was exactly 2 meters from his original position.
Dan touched the ground, summoning Night, "Watch me run and tell me how it looks." Dan commanded Night before running and activating Demon Sprint, Night saw the edges of Dan's body blur before he moved at an extremely fast pace, "So how did I look?" Dan asked Night, searching for signs of what its answer might be on it expression.
"You looked the same. Well mostly, your outline turned blurry." Night started, "And I'm a he." Night concluded, "What?" Dan asked Night, curious as hell as to what it was talking about, "It, you always refer to me as it. I am male, I am a he." Night said to Dan in a declarative tone, "Okay, fine, I'll refer to you as he from now on." Dan told Night before patting his head.
Runed circles appeared under Night as his figure slowly dissappeared, "So do you think you can use your ability now?" a familiar voice said to Dan from behind, "Yes." Dan said more to himself than Grey who was behind him.
Dan also activated Demon Gaze, he saw a thread-like form of yellow energy entering his solar plexus.

Grey's words snapped Dan back to reality, the thought of taking a human life had suddenly and disturbingly had an alluring effect on Dan, he took a few deep breaths before answering, "Yes sir." Dan replied with an honest smile. The duo kept silent for a minute before Grey decided to speak, "Ahem. You can leave now." Grey said in an awkward tone, "I'll leave but sir what about my gauntlets?" Dan asked remembering Mr. Isaac's words, "Sir?" Grey asked Dan, "Sorry." Dan muttered in a tone barely above a whisper.
"I'll send it to you later." Grey said as he waved his hand towards another rune filled matrix, Dan stepped on it, his vision slowly became blurry and he saw himself outside the academy, he entered and was heading to his dorm room when he bumped into someone causing Dan to land but first in the ground, the person who he had bumped into was 6 foot, towering over Dan by 4 inches, his chocolate brown hair and eyes filled with hatred and disgust, his cheek bones popping out more, making it obvious he was grinding his teeth, that person was Tom.
