Chapter 34 - Schooling the Fish

Viswa decided to make the first move.

These fish don't see like they want to let him leave anyway, so he might as well take the initiative. He leaned forward a bit and with his speed caught a hold of a fish by its nose.

He made sure that he caught it right at the joint with its head and avoid the sharp edge of that nose. He immediately leaned back and tried to pull the fish out of that water. Only on the boat would be have an absolute upper hand.

Even though he gained some confidence when he fought those six guys under water, it is not good enough to make him go against the actual predators of the sea.

But it was all his wishful thinking.

As he tried to drag a sword fish on to the boat, he saw another one leaping out of the water and almost stab him with that long sharp nose.

He had to leave the first fish and duck to barely dodge it.

His heart rate increased as he saw the sword fish all showing their heads out.

This reminded him of the scene in tom and jerry cartoon, where the sharks and swordfish act like humans with emotions with those sly and dangerous looks.

The swordfish right now eerily reminded him of that.

All of a sudden, they all started leaping out of water. It is almost like a show of entertainment. Only if they didn't hit the hull with their heads and tails, he would have really enjoyed that.

The sword fish are trying to figure out the proper trajectory to hit him and they are very close to figuring out. If it was his previous boat, Viswa would have had easier time manuevering it, but right now the boat is way too big for him to do that.

After some thought, he took a deep breath and decided on making a move.

As a swordfish jumped and its nose is pointed at Viswa as it fell down, he made an intense movement. He laid down while his legs flew up, he caught the swordfish right at its stomach and pulled it down abruptly.

It hit the boat strongly and made it creak. As it started beating rapidly, he skillfully moved around it and caught a hold of the nose by its blunt edge and pulled it back.

*CRACK*

The spine of the fish broke and it stopped moving. He broke the back even further until the spinal bone came out of the flesh and made it bleed out.

Viswa sighed in relief. The plan worked.

He was really scared that it wouldn't. But luckily his worries are for naught.

As he came out from under the fish, he noticed that two more sword fish also figured out the trajectory. He dodged one of them and in a weird coincidence its sharp nose was stuck in a wedge of the hull.

While Viswa caught a hold of another sword fish like he did before.

He broke the fish just like before, and he went for the third fish that was stuck on the boat. He had to hold it in a choke and break the head before he broke its spine finally killing it.

Now, he doesn't have much space within the boat.

He carried one of the sword fish and tied it off with a rope before throwing it off the boat.

As he was doing that, two swordfish jumped once again to attack him. And this time, their timing is right. He managed to dodge one and let it go into the water, while he caught the other one. This time by his hands.

Only the problem is, he lost some balance and the third sword fish at that exact moment to throw him. He tried to dodge but, the nose went straight into his arm and pulled him along with it.

"ARGH.. FUCK"

Viswa dropped the swordfish he was hold on the boat while he was dragged into the water. His arm was pierced deep into the nose. He knew it would be dangerous if he made any serious movements, he can only move backwards along the nose to make sure his muscle won't be cut off.

But the swordfish obviously had some plans for piercing him like that and it wouldn't abandon it just because Viswa is bleeding.

It tried move downwards forcefully to tear off his hand, but Viswa tried his best to follow its movement so that wouldn't happen.

It is awkward and effortful, but he did his best to follow through.

At this moment, the other fish in the water came to attack him from the side.

Viswa felt the pressure on his lungs increase. He wouldn't be able to last long under this water.

He gritted his teeth and dodged the attack, albeit barely and then he moved forward instead of backward. He moved more into the nose blade and let it pierce through him more.

His chest almost hit the mouth of the fish.

At that moment, he bent slightly backward and hooked both of his legs to the belly of the swordfish. Then with the nose blade as his leverage, he forcefully bent the fish.

*CRACK*

The fish's spine was destroyed. It went limp. He hurriedly kicked it away to make the blade come out of the flesh and barely managed to dodge another attack from the fish.

Viswa felt his blood slowly seeping out. His arm hurt a lot and he needs to get out of the water as soon as possible. But the sword fish, the last remaining one in the water didn't want to let him.

He first went to the surface to take a breath and then dove deeper as he faced the fish head on. He went for the nose directly and then sat on its back before behind the nose backward.

He realized he is very much stronger than them and with each fallen fish, his confidence grew.

*CRACK*

The spine of the fish was broken into two and it stopped moving.

He came back to the surface and got on the boat.

The swordfish left on the boat is still beating trying to get back into the water. But since he came up, he destroyed it quickly and sat down to take a breather.
