For the next two days, Viswa took the medicine normally.
Even though he didn't have to take that medicine to recover, just in case he wanted to make sure that whoever planted these meds on him, thinks that he is actually taking it. He wanted to lay down the bait properly and see if he could draw out the person behind him.
He constantly pestered Mr. Guide to ask what should have happened if he didn't refine the demonic energy after taking each pill.
And he exhibited the exact symptoms.
By Mr. Guide's estimation, he should be feeling weak and exhausted with no focus to draw spiritual energy by the end of day 2 and he acted exactly like that.
Of course, since Sir Warden is away and Jiva is inside the forest, Erin is the only one he could ask for help, but of course Erin himself is nowhere to be seen.
He would come once every day in the night when Viswa was supposed to be asleep and leaves the room.
On third day, while Viswa is contemplating on how to proceed forward, a paper flight flew through the window of his room.
He was caught it and looked out, only he couldn't find anyone there. They disappeared.
He opened the paper flight and his expression turned dangerously cold.
He hurriedly put a cloak on and ran out of his dorm. His movements are clumsy and wobbly. He looked like he could fall off any moment, but he just ran.
Soon, he is right in front of the Orphanage building. He was stunned by the state of it.
At that moment, the orphanage building that was always open was completely locked. Doors and windows are barred with metal bars and there is a reason for that.
A bunch of beasts surrounded the whole building. There are more than four dozens of them and they are of many kinds.
There are a bunch of boars, some deer like beasts, some snakes and finally a familiar figure that Viswa held a grudge on to.
The Fox that he encountered on his first day inside the forest.
He has been keeping that fox as a finale for his breakthrough. But to think that he would see these beasts here right in front of the orphanage, this is not something he expected.
He couldn't hear anything from inside the building, but he could see that it is being damaged rapidly. It wouldn't last long on the onslaught of these creatures.
He didn't hesitate and took out his knife as he dived straight into the hoard.
Since the beasts are madly aiming at the orphanage and didn't even realize that he is already here, it was the perfect moment for him to launch a sneak attack. So, he did without hesitating.
He targeted a boar first.
These are the ones charging at the house relentlessly and kept on weakening its structure.
He skid beneath it and landed a decisive slash at its neck. He cut off its veins and blood spurted out. He had a hard time dealing with these boars when he just entered the forest and he only fought with various handicaps.
Right now, he is not even bothered to care if Mr. Guide imposed those handicaps on him. So, he decisively pulled his knife and finished it off.
With his extra strength and his constant training, he is a lot more proficient at dealing with these beasts than before.
But there are just too many of them. That turned out to be the problem. As he dealt with one boar and was about to deal with another one, a Python appeared out of nowhere and coiled around his leg.
Even though it is bigger than a normal python, it didn't focus on coiling around all of his body, instead it only focused on his one leg an tightened its muscles as much as possible.
Viswa tried to slash it away, but to his surprise, he barely made a dent on its skin.
He would need to do a lot more than a slash to deal with it.
But at this moment, a boar changed its direction. It didn't hit the house anymore, instead, it went ahead and charged at Viswa who focused on the Python.
*BAM*
Viswa braced for the impact as he couldn't dodge it. He just tried to get into a proper stance and tackled the boar.
The boar was unable to move it. His feet were planted into the ground and even though the python managed to stop him from moving his leg, it didn't damage his leg. All he felt was that it's a bit numb.
Viswa didn't give the boar a chance to leave him. He held it by its tusk and used another hand to slash the side of its neck.
The Boar spurted out a lot of blood from that end and fell to the ground.
Viswa then focused on Python.
He used his other leg and gathered a lot of spiritual energy before forcefully stomping on it.
*CRACK*
He heard a cracking sound as its scales broke and he could finally lift his leg. He used the same leg and stomped the python this time on the head, before he moved forward.
He barely managed to dodge a charging goat. The one that is very similar to the one he faced in the entrance examination. But was hit by another one that came from the side.
He knocked the hell out of the third one and killed it before he ran to the wall where all the impact is happening.
He stood there with his knife as he looked at all the beasts in front of him.
As a goat charged at him while a boar charged at the house, he lunged toward the boar and slashed it on the neck. His movements were precise and the boar dropped in a second.
But the goat managed to attack him from the side, only the attack is negligible to him. Apart from the force that pushed him a little nothing happened. He held the goat in a chokehold and broke its neck, while he slashed at another beast that came at him.
He became a reckless killing machine, even at the cost of receiving some damage, he aimed to kill the beasts fastest way possible.
One beast after another fell and Viswa started panting heavily by the time there are only four beasts left.
One of them is a python and it started climbing up the house. It is aimed at the chimney. Viswa was distracted by the other beasts and realized it late.
The remaining three are one boar, one goat, and the last one, the fox.
All three of them are aiming at the Viswa and didn't want to let him go.
Viswa gritted his teeth and got ready to climb the house.
He gathered spiritual energy in his fingertips and dug them into the bricks.
"ARGH"
His fingers hurt a bit, but he managed to get a good grip of the house. He pulled himself up and started climbing it like a brute.
But at that moment, all of a sudden, the boar slammed into his legs, the fox stepped on the boar and leaped up to slash him with its claws and even bite him.
Viswa took the hit and almost got bit by the fox.
"Fuck it. I will kill you guys first."
Viswa fell and in the process slashed the boar. The knife went through its skull and almost got stuck there.
He then caught the goat that rammed into him and slammed it at the fox coming at him.
*CRACK*
He heard the spine of the goat cracking and the fox fell on the ground. It felt giddy and shook its head.
He didn't waste this opportunity. He jumped on the fox and made a large slashing moment, the fox which is already dizzy didn't want to get hit by the knife, so it tried to jump to the side.
But to its surprise, as soon as it did, Viswa kicked the ground and changed his trajectory. The knife didn't hit the fox, instead, he just hugged the beast in the air.
He wrestled with it forcefully and put it on its back. He even gave up the knife and used his four limbs to make the four limbs of the fox don't work.
Obviously, the fox is not exactly good at fighting from that position. Except when it was a pup it might not have been in that position at all.
Viswa held its forelimb and broke it.
*CRACK*
As it lay limp, he moved to its neck and rolled over before holding it in a guillotine choke.
*CRACK*
With a crack, the neck and spine of the fox broke.
"Fucking bitch."
Viswa cursed as he stood up and ran to the house.
His body is full of injuries. But of course, they are healing rapidly, but still, he looked pretty beat up at least for the looks of it.
He climbed up the house and caught hold of the python that almost put its head in the chimney.
He choked its neck with his bare hands. He could even see its eyes pop out.
At this exact moment.
*WHOOSH*
