Chapter 36 - Rest

*Cough* *Cough*

Viswa woke up groggily.

He felt very tired and his body felt heavier than usual. All his muscles are sore and his joints are hurting. He felt like an old man. He looked around and found himself in the dorm he is familiar with. He rubbed his eyes and tried to get up.

And then suddenly he jumped on to his feet.

"What the fuck?"

He cursed under his breath. The last thing he remembered is the scene on the sea shore. Sir Warden cut open the Shark and found something that looked like a seed, he injected his spiritual energy and then…

He lost it there.

He didn't know what happened after that.

He hurriedly walked out of the room.

He is indeed in his dorm within the academy.

As he walked out, Sir Warden just entered the corridor with a bowl in his hands.

"Oh, you woke up. You have been out for a couple of hours. How are you feeling?"

"What happened to me?"

Viswa asked anxiously.

"Don't worry too much. First let's go back into the dorm. We will talk there."

After calming down, Viswa sat on his bed while sipping the soup Sir Warden brought.

"The thing that we saw in the Shark's stomach is related to demons and has demonic energy. It is triggered when I injected spiritual energy and you were infected by it.

I cleansed your body of the energy forcefully, so you need to take some time and recover.

But from the looks of it, you are doing better than I thought."

"Thanks, I guess?"

"Anyway, I will handle the investigation related to the demons. You be careful and don't about it to anyone.

Also, you need to rest for at least three days. There is a possibility that some traces of demonic energy are left in your body, so you need be careful. Refrain from using your spiritual energy for a while and take this medicine three times a day.

After three days, you would be cleansed of all the minor traces too and you would be good to go."

Sir Warden handed over a bottle of pills,

Viswa took them and nodded.

"I heard what happened with the Duels and people that came for you in the forest."

Viswa froze for a moment and looked at Sir Warden.

He couldn't care less for the people that came after him. It is apparent how cold he could be based on his actions.

But Sir Warden helped him with all his heart since the start, if he left a bad impression on him, it would leave a bad taste in Viswa's concscience.

"It would be dangerous. I have to investigate this demonic phenomenon. As long as you in the school, they shouldn't be so stupid enough to make a move on you. But if they did, try your best to cause a lot of commotion."

"Are you not angry?"

"Angry? Why?"

"I caused such a large mess. Kai and his family would be angry with the orphanage too. There are already a bunch of noble kids and instructors showing obvious hostility. Doesn't that make this much more troublesome?"

"It doesn't matter what they think. It would be very hard for them to do anything to orphanage with me here. Anyway, if I refrain you from fighting back for yourself and made you be a victim of all this oppression, then I won't be able to sleep well at night.

Just be yourself. As long you don't cross the moral bottom lines of a human being, it is fine.

Although, it would help if you are less cruel. It almost feels like you have some generational grudge against them."

"I… I couldn't help it." Viswa said with a sigh.

Sir Warden left him to it.

He had to leave the academy immediately. He needs to figure out the origin of the seed inside the Shark. For that he has to go deep into the sea and search the original habitat of that shark there.

Meanwhile, Viswa just focused on recovering in the room.

That very day, the news spread among the whole academy about Viswa's state.

There are many speculations made.

Some said, he was injured deeply when he was attacked by his enemies on the sea and some said that he was attacked by some fish in the sea and got some infection.

Whatever speculations people believed, a lot of people had their eyes lit up. Particularly the noble kids who wanted a piece of Viswa for a long time.

At this moment, within the dormitories, Kai is sitting nervously. Pat is standing in front of him.

"What kind of pieces of shit did you hire? They didn't even complete one simple task. He came back safe and sound."

"Young master, we could only move Initial Stage Cultivators of Elementary Level. And Viswa seemed to have grown a lot compared to the time he last dueled.

It is understandable that he came back, but as you heard he is severely injured as well. Maybe this is the best situation for us. If we can lure him out separately in his condition and sneak attack with proper forces, then we wouldn't have any trouble."

"I haven't thought in that line. I will think of a plan and call you. Get ready."

At the same time, Erin who is Viswa's roommate is currently in a dilemma. He is sitting under a tree nearby and started removing the petals of the flowers.

"Do it.

Don't do it.

Do it.

Don't do it."

He muttered the same things as he took the petals off of the flowers and when the final petal remained he is on 'Don't do it'

But it appeared like he is not satisfied with the result. He gritted his teeth and there is a weird glint in his eyes. He took a deep breath and stood up before picking up a bottle of pills and a letter beside him.

He walked towards his dorm.
