Consort Suva is pacing around her hall yard, not hearing a single word from his son is making her worried. And with what the queen told her she couldn't shake the bad feeling of something happening to him. She had already sent people out to look for him but nothing.
"Mother you think he's already dead?" Prince Danyon's voice pierces the haze of her thought, drawing her attention back to his face.
"Don't you dare say that! your brother is alive and well," Consort Suva said even though she was trying hard to believe it. She was nervous but could only hold on to her faith, and her motherly instincts.
"The guards we sent to look for him, saw blood stains on his things on the pathway. What if the king has him and what if the king has already killed him? With what happened to the queen and Princess Aya he will surely kill him," Prince Danyon grumbled, he was worried about his brother but could only blame him for his stupidity.
"I already told you the king wouldn't dare to touch him and I'm sure he is fine and well," Consort Suva whispered, she assured herself in believing the King won't hurt her baby.
"You still think that the King wouldn't dare? what else wouldn't he dare to do? he sent Princess Aya to the Kagon and openly went against the prime minister. what else do you think he wouldn't do?" Prince Danyon said running his hand through his hair.
"I want you to shut up, your brother is fine. The King may be a monster but he will never do that to your brother," Consort Suva was sure the king will never hurt Prince Dewey. He never did when he had so many reasons to. At least that's what she hopes and beliefs
"Anything you say, mother," Prince Danyon gives up arguing with his mother about what the king will dare to do or wouldn't do.
"I just know it so look for him. I'm sure he's somewhere," she said holding her chest.
"he was supposed to leave the palace Mother, he's so stupid he just can't listen to simple instructions. if he had followed my advice and left the moment I told him to leave without insisting on going to the Kagon to see Princess Aya. He would have been safe and out of the palace by now," Prince Danyon looks at his mother, he blames her for spoiling him so much that he has become what he is now.
"This is not the time for blaming, do everything in your power to find your brother," Consort Suva whispered ignoring her son's hostile gaze.
They look nervously suspicious when they heard footsteps approaching the hall.
"I'm going to kill him, I swear," the prime minister's harsh voice interrupted their conversation.
"Uncle, what is going on?" Consort Suva mumbled walking to him as he takes a seat. Consort Suva quickly signals her maid to bring the prime minister tea.
"The King insists on going against me, now he doesn't even care to show it in front of everyone. he made a fool out of me in front of the whole court today. he will surely pay for this," the Prime Minister said angrily slamming the hand of the old chair as his fingernails pierce through the cushions.
"The king has really grown wings now, he doesn't listen to anybody. What do we do uncle?" Consort Suva added.
"We need to do something uncle before he finds an excuse to execute all of us," Prince Danyon mumbled
"I definitely will make him regret his decision," he said taking a sip of the tea he was served, he frown his face and set the cup of tea back on the table. The tea only ruins his mood even more. His daughter Princess Aya makes the best teas. He couldn't help but miss her. He sacrificed his precious daughter to show his sincerity to the king but it didn't work. Instead, the king has shut him out completely.
"By the way, where is Prince Dewey? why is he not here?" the prime minister asked looking around.
"Arh, he is probably somewhere drinking as usual you know what he is like," consort Suva stuttered.
"That's why I'm asking. Can't you control that son of yours? Tell him to stay out of trouble the king has made up his mind to really come hard on us. He shouldn't cause any more trouble for us," he said looking at their faces. Prince Danyon looks away while consort Suva nods her head awkwardly.
"I'm going now, I will find a way to cut those wings the King thinks is developing," the Prime Minister chuckled and walks out of there angrily.
"What now. Listen to me Mother I'm sure the King has him, let's go to him now," Prince Danyon tries to persuade his mother while he thinks they still have time to save his brother.
"It hasn't come to that yet. I just know it, find him," Consort Suva whispered holding her head as she slowly fall onto the couch.
"Fine," Prince Danyon grumbled leaving his mother's quarters.
