King Jetaime and Byron are walking down to their secret dungeon in the palace where he kept special prisoners he takes to war. They were ruthless and all they care about is spilling blood.
"Why are we visiting the dungeon?" Byron asked curiously. There was no war so he didn't understand why the king wanted to go there.
"We always need to be prepared," he said with a straight face.
"What are you planning? Who are we weighing war against this time around? Malavon?" Byron asked shocked.
"No, you can't do that? While you are secretly trying to steal the queen's heart you want to kill her family that's cruel. she will hate you forever. This kind of betrayal can not be compared to you having a thousand women in your bed," Byron mumbled in an attempt to stop the king from doing whatever he was planning to do.
"She is mine, she can hate me as much as she likes but if her father King Acer is planning something he will have to pay for it with his life and the throne he cares so much about," Jetaime grumbled as he halts his steps. Byron was walking behind him but moved to stand in front of him.
"What! Please don't do what you are thinking, she will hate you, " Byron tried to talk sense into him.
"What if the reason why she is holding back is because she is on a mission? I can get rid of her mission which is her father and problem solved then I can have her," Jetaime said folding his hand behind his back as he has really thought of it but apparently, the idea just pop into his head when he step out of the courtroom.
Technically he really hasn't deliberated on it but who cares? he is the king and even if he makes a mistake who can hold him accountable?
"My Lord, I thought you said she was clueless why do you now think she is holding back?" Byron tries to understand better.
"I tried wrapping my head around it but it doesn't add up. She was a princess of a very powerful kingdom. Think about it all her life she must have been thought how to be a good queen and to please her husband." Jetaime said with momentum.
"So," Byron asked with a lethal expression.
"So she can't be that clueless unless she is holding back," Jetaime said as if he has finally figured it out, while Byron looks at him and realized his childhood friend, the king of the four kingdoms has fallen in love.
"Huh," Byron nods his head fighting to keep his thoughts to himself.
"Yeah so whatever you find out in Malavon kingdom I will have our secret army ready at the border just in case we need to wipe them all out, " he said with a soft smile while Byron becomes speechless.
"Sure I hope it doesn't come to that," Byron manages to say as they resume their walk.
"Get the Alpha team ready," Jetaime commended.
"Yes your highness," the guard at the prison responded. He personally inspected each and every prisoner before they were made to join the army for the secret mission.
"I will have a surprise a wait for you all if you come back with victory," Jetaime announced as the prisoners celebrates.
"Let's go now, you should set off immediately. I'm going to spend the rest of the day with Lyn," Jetaime said with a soft giggle and covered it up with a soft cough.
"Of course," Byron nods as they walk back. Jetaime went to look for the queen while Byron returned home to his wife who has already packed their things ready to leave.
Demelza was excited to finally visit Malavon kingdom but Byron was in big thought. He was going to kill the queen's family if anything went wrong.
The secret army left the kingdom like civilians so one will suspect them. "Why are you so quiet? You hate being with me or do you have someone else on your mind?" Demelza grumbled.
"Nothing my love, just a little exhausted and worried about the king. You know I only see you and have only you in my heart and mind. No one else," Byron taunts his wife leaning close to give her a kiss as they ride in the carriage.
"Huh, sweet talker," Demelza smile turning her face away. "Really," Byron hissed trying to find his way through her heavy gown.
"What are you doing?" Demelza whispered turning all red. "Nothing," Byron mumbled as he lifts her gown and find his way into her underwear. Demelza giggles.
"Stop, we have guards outside they could hear us," Demelza said not that he wanted him to stop.
"If you don't make any noise they won't hear us," Byron whispered back into her ears at the same time robbing her.
"Ahh," she moans out loud before realizing it, then covers her mouth. "Sorry, I told you they will hear us, you know I can't keep it down," she said burying her hand on his neck while Byron teases her some more. He was in deep thought and needed to take his mind off things.
And taking Demelza on such a dangerous mission makes him fear for her safety.
"Arhh," Demelza moans once again this time around bitting Byron so she doesn't make a noise for others to hear.
"Come here," he said lifting her up to sit on him, her huge gown was getting I'm the way, he pins his head against hers and kisses her passionately.
Their carriage stumbled on a small stone that made them lose balance and almost fell. They both laugh as they hug each other.
"I'm kind of worried about Oaklyn," Demelza mumbled.
"Why? What happened?"
"I wanted to secretly send a letter to her father you know but she simply decline the offer and said the king wouldn't like that," Demelza said making Byron more confused. If she was really hiding something this was a perfect chance to communicate with her father but thought of how the King will feel about it.
"Really," Byron was concerned and relieved. Perhaps there will be no need for a war. He thought.
"Yes maybe he hates her father for shipping her away from home, her people, her food, and her language to marry the monstrous king. I would," Demelza pointed out hugging him tightly.
"That could also be true," Byron hushed.
