Chereads / The Monstrous King and his sweet Evil Queen / Chapter 46 - Not a command but an order

Chapter 46 - Not a command but an order

Jetaime has tried the past few days to talk with Lyn but Moesha won't let him, she always sent him away with the pretense the queen was sick and not receiving visitors, he knew he behaved like a jerk and therefore deserve the silent treat Lyn was giving him.

He couldn't stand it and he wished Byron was around, he always had a solution to all his problems.

He was a mess without him, and he could barely put up with the old fools in the court.

"Your Highness, the rain festival is fast approaching. Will the queen perform all the rituals? Rumor has it that the queen hasn't left her bed chamber in days," One of the court members asked.

"The Queen is not feeling well and will not be performing this year's rituals, it will go on as it uses to before," Jetaime ordered.

"Your Highness, but we have a queen now and she is supposed to perform her duties for the prosperity of our great kingdom," another court member mumbled staring at the prime minister as he speaks, Jetaime was sure he was instigating them.

"The queen will not be a part of the rituals. It will be going on as usual!" Jetaime says with finality. "Your Highness needs to consider taking another concubine for the good of the kingdom," one of the court members impeached.

"How many times have warned everyone against this issue? How dare you bring it up again?" Jetaime yells standing on his two feet as everyone goes on his knees. "Guards!!" Jetaime called out his guards.

"Drag him out and behead him, this will be the fate of anyone who dares bring up this subject again," Jetaime ordered as the old man begs for mercy. He angrily storms out of the courtroom while the guards drag the old man out to behead him. This left everyone in the court petrified.

Jetaime walks out of the courtroom heading to the Queen's bed chamber as he always does and as usual, is turned away by Moesha.

"Your Highness the Queen..."

Moesha tries to stop him from going inside. "Step down!!!" Jetaime roars at her angrily. Not only has she been overly atrocious and bold but she actually had the audacity to stand in the king's way.

Moesha had already vowed to keep the king away from the queen and that's exactly what she was doing. She didn't care her life was on the line. She will happily die protecting her queen.

"Do you enjoy staying close to the Queen? Do you think you can still serve her if you continue disobeying my command? Now step down!" Jetaime roars in anger yet Moesha remain still where she stood.

Enraging the King even more with her attitude, nothing will make her batch. At this point, the kill was ready to kill her if that was what it will take. He didn't care if the Queen will be sad or hate him for it. He has already made up his mind the moment he plans to kill her father, they will stay together either in love or out of love. Respect or not, he was the King and he had decided.

"Guards!!!" Jetaime called for her arrest and was out of his way. "Let him in Moesha," Lyn mumbled when she heard all the commotion outside her bed chamber.

Moesha steps away from the door lowering her gaze as she folds her hand behind her like the rest of the maids immediately she heard the Queen's voice. The Queen's voice echoed in her ears hence she suppressed the fury building within her. Jetaime gave her another angry gaze before walking into the bed chamber of the queen. The guards shut the door after him.

Lyn decided to allow herself to be bath and fixed for some reason, she was tired of staying in her bed all day. This wasn't her, she had faced so many atrocities all her life for as long as she could remember. There is no one that has been good to her, those who did turn out to want something or were planning something big against her. She was done expecting good in people.

Lyn bows a little hurling her hands as she goes down. She smiles gleefully when abruptly her lips curled downwards and his eyes furrowed indignantly.

"Come with me to my bed chamber, " Jetaime steps forward and said. Lyn remains still while she sneered in disdain.

"Please," Jetaime added, he couldn't stand Lyn's indifference towards him. He admits he deserved it but there was no way he was going to take her to the Kagon. He only wanted to frighten her but in the end, he did worse than that. Not only did he petrify her he also took away the little trust that was building up between them.

He was the king and could get anything that he wants, he had millions of women at his disposal but only wants one. Now he has wrecked any chance of her loving him and not calling him the monster everyone knows.

Lyn was wearing a slightly awkward expression on her face. "As your Majesty commands," She was angry but had to suppress everything she was feeling and bit her lips.

"I'm not commanding you Lyn, I was requesting," Jetaime hissed in a calmer voice yet Lyn won't spare him a glance. That broke his heart into a million pieces. Something was wrong with him but he couldn't figure out what exactly was the problem.

He wishes to hug her and kiss her. He will do anything to see her smile again but he killed her smile and he doesn't know how to get it back.

"If you are not commanding then I can decline your request, your Majesty. I do not wish to go with you to your bed chamber, " Lyn said staring at him briefly with no expression on her face.

"I know I scared you, please just come to my bed chamber and I will eventually explain everything," Jetaime hissed knowing someone might eavesdrop on them. Lyn saw enough, she doesn't need any explanation from him. Madam Yina already told her the hairpin held a sentimental value to him and the kingdom but it was no fault of her the hairpin went missing.

Jetaime tried all means to get her to forgive him but none worked including giving her space now he was running out of options.

He wants her by her side badly. He walks close to her, close enough to feel her breath. Lyn turned her face to the other side.

Jetaime caresses her face carefully and said. "Today is Thursday," he then, lift her head to face him and said for the maids to hear in his authoritative voice. He was giving a command and no one dares to disobey unless they have a death wish.

"Prepare the queen and bring her to my bed chamber. It's Thursday," he said stressing on the Thursday. Mondays and Thursdays it was mandatory for both the queen and King to spend the night together so they can produce an heir.
