Ava was deep in her sleep when she noticed a grip on her neck, she thought it was just a dream when the grip tighten, and she fluttered her eyes wide open. it was dark as she had switched off the light before retiring to bed. she tried to get the lamp but the hand choking her was too strong.
someone with a hood on was choking her, she started kicking and fighting with her hands.
she was groaning and the hooded man was also groaning alongside her.
even right here when her consciousness was about to slip away, she still wondered why the one choking her was groaning like he was the one getting choked.
she stretches her hand towards the lamp she always kept on her bed and switches it on.
The hooded man stop choking her and she jumped out of the bed, she ran towards the door but it was locked.
"Keys!" Ava cried out.
she heard the jingles of the keys and she turn back only to see the hooded man with a bold smirk on his face, Ava's room keys were in between his fingers.
all she could think about was how to get away from that room, she doesn't know why he stopped choking her and she is not interested in knowing either.
the man was still in the room, he had adjusted his clothes, and he stared at her with rage and irritation visible in his eyes.
"Where do you think you are going, bitch!" he shouted hitting his hands on the wall.
Tears flowed down freely from her eyes. the aura around him was too suffocating.
"Why?" that was all she could ask.
"You don't get to ask questions" he walks towards her like a predator walking towards its prey.
"Please, I didn't do anything" she pleaded with tears as she inch back any moment he moved towards her.
"I hate it when I see tears, and from someone who doesn't deserve my mercy at all, it pissed me off so much!" he said with a husky voice.
her back was now on the door, there was nowhere to run to anymore so she stood with tears flowing down freely from her eyes.
"What do you want?" Ava asked.
he stopped in his tracks and she could see his lips twitch in a wicked smile.
"Your life, do you think you can let me have that?"
Ava was quiet, her leg was shaking with fear,
"How can she give her life away just like that," she thought.
"Please, let me go, I never did anything to anyone, I'm just a regular girl," Ava pleaded.
"That I can't do!" he said with a slight yell.
"At least you are nice enough to let me know that I will die in your hands today," she said wiping her eyes with the back of her hands.
Ava burst out crying like a child, she slowly drop down and sat on the floor hugging her knee.
the hooded man stood there watching her, he was supposed to kill her but now that she was crying, he started feeling suffocated to the extent that a tear dropped down from his face, and he suddenly become sad.
"Who the hell is she to make me feel this type of emotion," he thought to himself.
all he does is kill who he was instructed to kill, he had no remorse, he had never felt sad about it.
Ava didn't know that the hooded man had walked over to her place as she had buried her head in between her thigh sobbing.
he raised his hand and hit her on a side of her neck making her go limp, he search for something to wrap her in as she was only putting on pant and bra.
he successfully got a thick coat from her wardrobe.
"She doesn't even arrange her room," he said slightly disgusted by the disarranged room. everything was scattered around, her dirty clothes were lying everywhere. he sighed angrily,
then he called in someone who pick her up and took her to the car he had brought.
She was carefully laid on the back seat, and Drexel and Tyler took the front seat.
"Boss, why didn't you kill her?" Tyler his assistant asked.
he rubbed his hands on his chin in thought before he got into the car.
his assistant got into the car and started the car engine.
"I want to confirm something," he said to Tyler.
"Albertrosso won't be happy to hear this," Tyler warned as he glance at his boss.
Drexel had a stone-cold expression on his face, he didn't even flinch at Tyler's assertions.
"I will kill her after I confirm something," Drexel said as he took out his phone and fixed his gaze on it.
"What is so important to know about her that you can't kill her just yet?" Tyler asked.
since he had started working with his boss this was the first time he had hesitated on a mission and even to the extent of bringing their supposed target home.
he glanced at Drexel who totally ignored him.
"what should I say if he asked about today's mission?" Tyler asked.
"Tell him whatever suits you," Drexel said nonchalantly.
When Drexel decided to go against someone he never faltered away from his decision, he was known as a very stubborn brute both in the known business world and the underworld of total rogues and criminals, and he was counted as one of the most heartless businessmen, gang leader and a notorious mafia assassin.
Tyler took one last turn leaving the main city, he took the route towards the woods, he had already dropped Drexel at the company. he had a business to attend to.
Drexel had instructed him to take the target to his villa which is located on the outskirts of the city.
Tyler was at first reluctant about babysitting a grown woman.
"If you complain one more time, I will make you regret it," Drexel signed him a warning.
He shut his whining mouth and replaced it with a pretentious smile.
"Yes boss," Tyler said as he step on the accelerator and drove at top speed out of Drexel's sight.
