He was beyond happy, so he stood speechless in shock and awe.
Drexel was not used to talking to the people around him so, he didn't care much about their expression and he know nothing about it either.
he frown at Brooke that was staring at him like he was in a stupor.
"Ahhh, I have no time to entertain this nonsense," Drexel said as he turned his back on him.
"Boss," he ran after him.
"What is it again Brooke?" he said turning to face him with his brow knitted.
"A black-haired woman with a coat on, tried escaping from the empty nineteenth floor upstairs and I.....," he announced.
"Not a word to anyone brooke!" He warned.
"Yes, Bo.. "
Drexel did not let him finish his words, as he stormed headlong towards the stairs.
He reach the door with a hinge breath, he turn the door knob and the door creaked open.
it was pitch dark in there, he walk confidently towards the switch and turned on the light, he had studied most of the rooms during his training and he knew exactly where a switch is always placed on a wall of a room.
"Here you are," he said to the lady curled on the bare floor half unconscious.
Drexel walked up to her, her long hair covering her face So, he was not able to see a clear glimpse of her face.
He squats close to her and slowly removes those long strands of her covering her face.
He stare at the little bruise on her forehead which is now a big swollen red patch on her head, he saw the dried blood glued to her skin.
Drexel checked his right-hand pocket and brought out a tube in his hand, he had bought it on his way home. He was about to apply it on her head when she flutter her eyes open.
As soon as she saw him, she jolted and crawl away from his reach to the corner of the room.
She was weak and had no life in her to scream or cry.
Drexel stood up and walked toward her, she didn't try to run again.
He roughly rubbed the healing balm on her head.
Then he stood up to go, and he felt something tug on his trouser, "Please let me go," she whisper almost inaudibly to him.
Drexel felt his heartache with a sudden sadness.
This feeling is frustrating him so much. He rubbed his hand on his neatly well gel hair turning it into a messy bunch.
"Eisssh!" he said roughly kicking his leg from her grip.
"You should have been dead and I should have been having a nice dinner with wine celebrating a complete termination success," he said screaming in her face.
She cried and a tear rolled down his eyes too.
"God damned it! Lady, why are you crying again!" he felt rage but he couldn't even take it out on her.
"Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!" he screamed in that room like a lunatic.
Ava covered her ear with her hands as she resumed sobbing anew.
Fresh tears rushed down his face again.
he sighed cleaning those tears then he sat down beside her.
he just exhausted himself with screams.
"what should I do to make you happy?" he asked her.
Ava suddenly stop crying and slowly raise her gaze to look up at him, "I want to go home, let me go home," Ava said like a child who had been kidnapped away from her parent and now misses home so much.
Drexel look at her and smirked. somehow he knows she will ask him to take her back home and he can't do that, not when she is now his number one weakness.
even if he doesn't feel her pain again, he will kill her right here and dispose of her body immediately.
"I can't," Drexel said standing up.
He can buy her anything she wants and even prepare a better place for her to stay if she demands it, but her freedom is what he can't grant her.
she is not just with her own life, his life had been tied to her own, if Ava dies, Drexel will also die. he was not ready to take the risk of letting her walk around the dangerous street of Central City without his protection.
"But why?" In an exhausted voice, she asked.
Drexel look at her dead in the eye, his calm eyes were now bloodshot, and Ava swallowed hard with fear.
"I told you that you don't get to ask any questions," he said peering into her eyes.
Ava brought her head down to her feet and curled herself the more, she was scared, even the man standing in front of her scared her to the core, she had always wished for death, and hoped one day she will go to sleep and never wake up, " A painless death," Ava whispered to herself.
the world and everyone in it had been nothing but horrible to her, so what's the point of hoping and living, she would have ended her life herself but it was just that, she had never really had the bravery of ending her own life.
Drexel heard her whisper, he smirked at the curled ball in front of him, he bent himself, his head slightly above her, Drexel could smell her shampoo.
He wrinkled his nose in disgust, not that it smelled bad, he just detest anything that had to do with this woman.
he yank her hair up and stared into those green orbs looking back at him in pain.
"I promise myself to give you the most painful death you can ever think, for letting me go through this misery, you will suffer, bitch!" he let go of her head pushing her.
Drexel wanted to walk out on her but stop in his tracks, he felt his heart shrank in its place, and he felt so broken, tears started dropping down his eyes, Drexel turned back almost immediately.
"And don't you dare to cry!" he yelled at her.
it seems his word only aggravated the little kitten as she broke down sobbing.
Ava began sobbing pitifully,
"I don't even know what my offense is, why should I suffer," she said amidst her tears.
"Why me!" Drexel said, with uncontrollable tears rolling down his eyes.
He walked out and banged the door so loudly.
he couldn't care much as he already knew anything he does will only make her tear up more and that will make him sad too, not to say, Drexel, despise tears.
Tears keep dropping from his eyes,
"if this worthless bitch continues like this I might run out of water in my body," Drexel soliloquize.
With rage in his eyes and tears running down his face with a little drool from his nose.
Drexel almost ran into Mrs. Donovan the chief servant and the villa caretaker.
she saw the state her young master was in and she couldn't control her surprised countenance.
her mouth dropped widely in awe.
Drexel glanced once at the dropped-down surprised woman staring at him with her mouth open like she had never seen him in her entire life.
Without speaking to her, Drexel made to walk away from her then an idea struck him.
he took an inch back and stand in front of Mrs. Donovan, he clean his wet nose with the back of his hand then in a huge scary voice he yelled.
"Mrs. Donovan!" even when he had walked past her she still didn't get her composure but when he screamed at her she regain her lost sense.
"Yes, young master!" she said almost immediately.
"How do you stop a woman from crying?" he asked with his hands in the air.
Mrs. Donovan was at loss for words, the young master ran down the stairs in tears which has never happened since she knew him and now he wants to know how to stop a woman from crying, what is going on? her thought was in shambles and she started breathing way too fast.
"Are you even listening to me?" he said, Another tear escaped his eyes.
"God-damnit!!" Drexel cursed out loud.
he wiped the tears off almost hitting himself in the face and hurried to his room leaving the old Mrs. Donovan in shock. Mrs. Donovan rushed after the young master In speed.
"I'm sorry I was just too shocked to respond to you," she pleaded on her heels.
"prepare a proper dinner, and the finest spacious room next to mine for the guest to stay," Drexel commanded.
"Yes, young master," Mrs. Donovan bowed.
she raised her head to say something but Drexel got into his room and shut the door in her face.
She walks away steadily to take out the order,
on her way downstairs she ran into Tyler.
"Mr. Mitch," she said,
Tyler look so exhausted, she could see the bags of stress under his eyes regardless, Tyler smiled at her.
Tyler, like Drexel, was also not full of warmth but during his stay, here in the villa he had grown so fond of the chief servant as he consider her a caring mother figure.
Tyler smiled faintly,
"Has he gone out?" Tyler asked.
there was no need for him to specify who he was asking about, as Mrs. Donovan already got the message.
"He's in," she said as she proceed forward.
Tyler was about to take a step forward towards the stairs when Mrs. Donovan turn and slightly tug on his shirt.
With a pale and scared expression, she said.
"The boss is not happy tonight, try not to piss him off the more,"
He nodded to her, reassuring her that he would be cautious of what he will say to Drexel.
"Why is she extremely cold this evening," he thought to himself.
He went up the stairs to meet Drexel.
