Even Zero, who was in Adrian's mental world, had no idea what was happening in Adrian's mind.
And to him, none of that would matter if his soul-body was destroyed…
After screaming for help without a response Zero gently grasped Adrian's unconscious body slowly and carefully started his climb to the top of their temple.
While climbing the temple's steps Zero constantly used his ability to stabilize Adrian, while he also commanded the temple to prepare for the emergency at the same time.
Without hesitation, Zero stopped his body from vibrating in fear that he would hurt Adrian. Without the vibrations to obscure anyone from looking at him Zero, who fears his malnourished-broken body being seen, was consumed with anxiety and panic.
For Zero his worry, guilt, and concern overpowered his anxiety and fear, however, he still ordered the clouds to shield him from the sun's rays.
Under the cover of a clouded sky Zero reached the top of the temple as a trio of concerned 'children' surrounded them with eyes filled with concern.
Dee, as the only one able to communicate currently, voiced their concerns, "What happened? Is Deddy going to be ok?"
The Qi and Fue both chirped in as if voicing the same concern.
With a desperate saddened gaze, Zero responded, "I… I-I don't know. Give me some room. I need to start as soon as possible."
Fue nervously plucked one of her feathers out dropping it at Zero's feet forgetting that she was no longer a phoenix. Upon realizing she became depressed regretting her greed in returning to her original form.
Watching Fue pluck out a feather, Qi tried to summon her purple fire thread to heal Adrian, however with only one tail she could barely summon a single thread.
Dee wanted to reach out and devolve Adrian in hopes to reverse the accident only for Zero to grab his small hand stopping him in his tracks.
With a forced smile, Zero shook his head saying, "You can't help now… Please make some room."
In the end, without any way to help the three quickly rushed multiple feet back as if them staying near would cause the world to end.
Placing Adrian on a smooth marble altar that rose from the ground, Zero spread his hands quickly forming hundreds of seals per second.
It was only after 15 full seconds and thousands of seals that Zero yelled out, "Reversal!"
With a single command fountains of blood poured from Zero's eyes, and in return the two gaping holes in Adrian's head had white eyes form, however, there was no life returned to his eyes.
When this occurred Adrian's breathing became incredibly labored, while his two heart beaks synchronized causing him to spit up blood, as he seized on the altar.
Blood and foam poured from his mouth covering his face, almost choking him, but luckily Zero recovered in time to turn the now critical Adrian on his side.
Grabbing the thread that Qi had previously created, Zero burned a small portion of his own soul, drawing out as much energy as he could before puncturing Adrian's throat with the thread in hopes of remedying the situation.
Unlike the damage to Adrian Zero immediately healed as Wisdom actively used all of its own and Endurance's efficiency to heal such a small wound to the soul, however, it couldn't deal with Adrian's affliction.
When the tread pierced Adrian's throat his condition calmed for now.
Under the immense pressure of using his ability constantly Zero's body and soul were seconds away from withering when Adrian calmed.
When Zero tried to push forward with his ability, his eyes which were soaked in blood snapped shut.
When this happened his ability stopped and the vibrations of his eyes returned covering his body once more.
Stressed and temporarily blinded, Zero muttered out into the void, "Why was I the one to wake up? Magus, Mora, or even Shu could save him…"
Tears streamed down his face as he continued to speak, "Can one of you wake up! please… I am pain, I am torture, not healing… What can I even do?!"
Silence was the only response to Zero's pleas as even the trio didn't know what to say after overhearing him.
That silence was soon broken by a terrifying suction force that burst out from Adrian's soul as his body became doused in a foul pungent black sludge as his pores unclogged after evolution.
That suction force was simply Adrian catching his breath as the thread in his throat was forced out as he healed. Unlike Adrian's normal restrained breath, this breath used every portion of his body including each of his pores.
This was the first sign of Adrian's Mythos ability, God's Breathing. When the ability manifested even the system jumped as messages forced their way into the mental world allowing anyone to see.
[Efficiency has met the minimum requirement]
[Unlocking Breathing efficiency]
[Absolute System identified host ability… Updating]
[Breath of Life lvl 1 acquired]
Once the messages sounded Adrian's condition immediately stabilized, however, his mind was still trapped in Mythos for the time being.
Watching the entire process Zero who was intimately familiar with Adrian's ability was shocked as the force exuded by this ability far outclassed anything Adrian could do before.
Rushing to his feet, Zero vibrated his eyes while snapping his fingers causing the sludge and impurities to disperse from the physical and soul realms.
Slowly Zero approached Adrian's body stopping his long claw-like fingers from vibrating as he pried open Adrian's eyelid to check his eyes only to be met with the same white eyes deadly sitting in his skull.
Looking into those dead white eyes Zero could only think, 'Such a spectacle for nothing.'
Letting out a sigh of relief, Zero walked over to the trio of Dee, Fue, and Qi as he commanded the air behind them to form a semi-solid cloud bed for the three of them.
Zero bluntly stated, "Rest, I'll wake you up when I know anything more."
His blunt tone couldn't hide his expression which showed a mixed look of paternal love and worry over the situation.

While Zero desperately tried to save his soul-body Adrian, who had fallen even deeper into the realm of souls, was struggling with the intense memories housed inside their bloodline.
All the while a pair of azure blue eyes stared at Adrian's frantic struggles. Maybe we shouldn't start here, but at the moment Adrian's consciousness was plunged into Mythos.
