Frantically, Zero used his ability, absolute domination ordering the pure Mythos to dissipate, in hopes that he could avoid any permanent damage to himself or Adrian.
However, the seconds it took for Zero to activate his ability were all it took for the liquid to invade Adrian's eyes slowly spreading to the rest of his body.
Luckily or unluckily, when Zero's command was issued the Mythos in his eyes dissipated… taking Adrian's eyes with it.
This one miscalculation caused Adrian's eyes to forever become part of Mythos, rendering him effectively blind as damage to the soul was near impossible to heal.
Meaning even when his eyes reformed on his physical body they would have no use.
The only silver lining of this situation was that Adrian's life had been saved…
After his bloodline went through strengthening the effects were no longer limited to the assimilation of the entity into an avatar of Mythos, but now the affected would have to experience every story and tragedy of Mythos firsthand.
Even a devil wouldn't wish his worst enemies to witness, what Adrian was forced to experience from his connection to his eyes that were now drowning in the abyss known as his bloodline, Mythos.
A momentary glimpse into the depths of Mythos was enough to cause Adrian's soul to completely lose consciousness.

Once Zero spoke the order he stared unblinkingly into Adrian's eyes praying for the command to be enough.
When the surface liquid turned to steam Zero let out a sigh of relief embracing Adrian in a bear hug while muttering, "Thank god! I was quick enou-"
Just as he spoke, Adrian let out a ghastly wail as a torrent of steam exploded from Adrian's eyes dyeing Zero's vision in a hazy purple mist.
Hearing the deathly screams of Adrian, Zero came out of his hug watching as two dark gaping holes appeared staring at him as the mist settled.
Looking at Adrian's poor state Zero rushed to reverse his command however by the time he had noticed it was already far too late.
When Zero felt he had no control over the mist he heard Adrian screeching suddenly stop as Adrian had passed out after his eyes connected to Mythos.
Distraught, Zero remembered these so-called gods from Adrian's memories in a moment of desperation Zero screamed out, "SOMEBODY HELP HIM! ANYBODY! Please help him…"
His desperate cries never had a chance to be answered as both he and Adrian were no longer connected to the island as their body was still in a state of constant destruction and restoration.
With no answer Zero gently grasped Adrian's unconscious body slowly and carefully making his way to the top of their temple.
While all of this happened within Adrian's mental world three groups of people were all conflicted on what to do.

In Sakura's void…
As soon as their connection was severed Sakura was left to watch as Zero rampaged while in control of Adrian's body not knowing anything about what had just happened.
Uncertainty was the only thing certain in her mind.
Without any way to know Adrian's condition other than a vague unreliable 3rd person video feed, her mind was filled with innumerable worries and curses she constantly threw at Zero.
Her worries came to a head when Zero was instantly destroyed and couldn't reform leaving her with absolute fear for her most cherished person.
In her heart, Sakura held out hope for Adrian's safety, their eventual reunion, and reconnection.
While her emotions continued to spiral, a dark remnant of the original Nexus assistant made itself known as it whispered to Sakura, "He doesn't need you anymore. He doesn't want you."
Sakura knew that voice didn't belong to her, but in her current state, the voice rang loudest among her thoughts.

At Nexus Entertainment…
Cursed Writer was being bombarded by hundreds of thousands of threats from the Original System (OS).
It was Cursed Writer's vault when this second personality awakened, where Adrian lost contact with them, and where Adrian's body had no way to reform.
Contrary to OS' beliefs, Cursed Writer had no control over the trial's difficulties.
Each trial was formed to test the qualification of the intruder, and it just so happened that Adrian's abilities were judged to be near Saint level causing the final trial to become Saint level.
The second hardest difficulty level in his security system.
Cursed Writer wanted to lower the difficulty however Adrian/Zero had already stepped onto the final step before he could change anything, locking the trial as is.
Even knowing this OS still berated and threatened Cursed Writer in fear of Seal's retaliation.

On the Multiversal Battleground…
The normal group of Seal, Demon, Eve, and Gramps, were sitting beside their lake watching the situation unfold, each coming to different conclusions.
Seal immediately wanted to reprimand Cursed Writer; however, it was she who asked him to test the incarnations if they possessed the qualifications to open the vault.
After thinking it over Seal concluded that Adrian was a failure of an incarnation if he couldn't escape this situation in one week. With a deadline set Seal decided to wait to take action.
Demon on the other hand wanted to give Zero enough power to pass the trial in return he would force Zero to answer all of his questions and become his disciple.
One big problem with his solution was that Seal wouldn't allow him to interfere much less train an incarnation who couldn't even make it to the center of the island.
Eve only wished Adrian would die quickly or beat the trial after disappointing them twice already.
Gramps held out hope in Adrian, realizing that Adrian could very likely complete the near-impossible trial if he could reform even once, however, he could also tell that Adrian was trapped inside a mental world.
With the four's varying opinions, they concluded to do nothing for a week largely because none of them wanted to be sealed until the death of this incarnation.

If Adrian's soul island had been normal his pantheon would have been easily found by Nexus and Demi System's incarnation Lake, however, the unique attribute of his island, isolation, led to his pantheon being completely confined to the island.
When faced with nothing it was their minds that came up with unlimited thoughts on Adrian's condition not knowing it was much worse than any of them could imagine.
