Chapter 8 - Secrets

Whilst the professor continued our very first homeroom through my little interaction with Iris, time swiftly moved and the conclusion of her speech soon came about.

"So class, before I allow you to depart for an early lunch and dismiss you for the rest of the day, I have some key words to impart on you. Whilst all of you here are exceptional youths who have earned their spot at this academy, I must impart words of warning to you. Classes can change and soon a test will be indoctrinated into your curriculum to assess your progress whilst here and make small changes if necessary. If you allows yourself to slip, you will be over taken. Anyway, you are now dismissed. I recommend checking out your dorms rooms and relaxing for the first day. Tomorrow your lessons truly start."

She then neatly bowed before us and left the room leaving us behind in it. Students from the class slowly started moving up from their seat and the first to do so, was the lone wolf, the outcast, the unexplained presence.

"Kayden Nate..."

"That kid bother you or something?" Iris asked, overhearing my mumbling.

I casted my eyes over to hers and smiled. "No. Someone of his calibre doesn't even measure up to me, let alone bother me. I just think I should talk to him soon."

"Well not before you tell me what YOU know." As the last people walked out the room and Iris waved away the people who invited her to join them, she leaned in closer to my back, practically clinging to me. A sharp object pressed against me firmly.

"I would appreciate it if you removed that toy away from me." I suggested to her, my eyes coldly turning to the side of my head to peek at her shadow covered smile.

"This isn't a toy and I think you should be using other words. Woof, mistress, please take away the dagger from my back! Something like that would suffice."

"You haven't given up on that yet. Well how about we move locations whilst I tell you what you want to know. From there on you'll also learn who between us will stand at the top of the hierarchy." Her hand only gripped tighter on the hilt of the dagger jabbing into me.

"Why are you deciding things? I think I have to teach you some manners!" Her hand forcefully continued to drive in the knife but the blade shattered into two and flew across the room.

"What the fuck is your body made out of?" She asked as a looming shadow pressed her down onto the table.

In the instant the knife broke on my skin enhanced by armis, I quickly span around and trapped her hands whilst pushing her down.

"What do you think of that kid? You know, Leon Rawlder." I asked, my eyes searching through hers imperatively. I needed to establish the heroines feelings at the start of the game. Was it always a relationship of a strange attraction that forced those encounters, or was it something that built over the events of the game?

"Huh? Why are you asking me that." She asked, her face turning away with an angry scowl on her face.

The mistress doesn't like being dominated. Well not until you do it properly, anyway.

I released my grip on her and pulled her up.

"Follow me. Let's talk a little." I beckoned her over as I began walking out the door. She steadfastly stomped over, her cheeks slightly rose.

"So where are we going?"

"Library. We should be able to talk in private there. After all, on the first days the library is usually off student limits. In the meantime, answer me the question I asked you about earlier."

"Why does it matter to you?" She folded her arms as her curly brown hair bounced from one side to another.

"Let's just say, there's a matter that involves me and him."

"Okay~. But what does that have to do with me?" She persistently dragged on to the loose ends I gave her as she charged to reach a clear answer.

"I can't tell you. And you can't refuse to answer. I know your secret, so let's get this over with."

"Do you know my secret though? Maybe you know I'm hiding something, but you don't actually know what it is?" She tried calling my bluff, but she very well knew I wasn't. She was simply trying to stall and hope I slip up.

"Sinclaire Roselaine." I uttered and her complexion turned entirely pale.

"W-why are you bringing up a criminals nam-"

"You know why. So answer my questions."

I demanded her answer as we found ourselves in front of the libraries door. She tried to pull the door open and step in before answering me, but I quickly pressed the door with my hand and leaned closer to her.

"Do you have any feelings towards Leon Rawlder? They may be as simple as interest, warmth, anything!"

Instead of shrinking, she fiercely grabbed my tie and pulled me closer to her face. Our lips intertwined in the silence and tension harboured in the corridor.

"Does that answer your question?" A reddened smile slipped on her face as she span me onto the door and pinned me.

Her lips went for a second taste as we exchanged saliva, her long fingernails digging into my back.

I pushed her away and stepped away from the door. She looked up at me in surprise, probably by my action and slightly flustered face. I grabbed her wrist and opened the door, slinging her in as she brought me closer to an embrace.

My mind started blanking as her tongue swirled in my mouth, but I managed to regain focus and pushed her off, regaining my breath.

"There will be plenty of time another day, we have more things to settle."

She sighed and put her hands on her knees. "Fine."

"So you feel nothing towards Leon, am I right?" I confirmed.

"No I don't feel anything. Guys like him with softer features don't really suit my tastes either."

So the relationships with Leon grew as accordance to the events in the game to the point preferences didn't matter.

Though Iris seemed to be drawn to me, I'd call this lust. I certainly haven't gained any trust form her nor romantical interest. It's not good enough, but for now it'll have to do. I'll have to build relationships one at a time.

"Continuing, let's discuss your little secret, my little dog." I teased her, sitting on one of the tables as stood before me, leaning on one of the bookcases.

"Don't call me that." Her eyebrows furrowed and a sharp stare flung a dagger across at me.

"Ouch! Okay, I won't. But let's establish something between us, Iris. You will not have your little mistress role with me. Since I know your secret, there's just one more thing I need from you if you want me to keep it secret. Are you ready to hear it?"

She rolled her eyes and bit her lip, an annoyed but lustful smile twisted on her face.

"I have to put up with it, I suppose."

"Okay! All I need from you is to..."
