"I'm going to have to kill you."
As my words left my mouth, a cold slither edged down his back as he shivered in fright. However his fierce and prideful nature wouldn't allow that to sit well with him.
He forcefully tipped back on his chair and jumped away. "You're not gonna even lay a finger on me you bastard!"
Mana ignited within him once more and fire engulfed his hand as he steadied it before me.
A fire attribute? Well, I doubt he'll fire it here, especially unprovoked. But it won't be good for me to start this fight, I just need to end it.
"That's a cute flame. Did you learn it at the fucking adoption centre?" I laughed in his face, but whilst his teeth bit down harder, his figure remained braced but never active.
"Let's take this outside! I challenge you to a duel!" His flame burnt out on his hand as he raised it to me.
"Sure, let's take this outside. Oh, and how about we invite the whole of our class to see our little duel?" I suggested, a sadistic grin splitting my mouth.
Blinded by anger, his jaw snapped as he barked back at me like the useless dog he was. "Go for it you bastard! I'll dethrone you in front over everyone and claim the top spot for myself!"
Ha! He's the perfect fucking NPC!!!
The two of us both shook hands, an unnecessary amount of strength applied from his side, as we walked out of the room. The two of us stormed down the buildings halls and quickly requested for the dorm receptionist to give us access to the arena at the back of the building and inform all of Class A to come there immediately.
"Fine, fine!" She eventually gave in. "I don't get paid enough for this shit..." She muttered under her breath, but by then I was too consumed in my plans to humiliate him to reply.

Eventually, everyone from class A gathered at the back of the 1st year dorms and encircled arena. A raised platform of adamantine onyx stone roughly 15 by 15 metres separated me and Kayden as the seats around the arena slowly filled.
A grumbling came from the stands, some annoyed by this summon, some excited and some seemingly unbothered. Eventually, the growing volume attracted the attention of other 1st year students.
Stretching on my side of the arena, a cocky grin plastered across my face as I looked around in awe, I noticed a certain face amidst the crowd. I softened my smile and a warm blush came from their face as they returned a smile. Their azure eyes enamoured me like two oceans pulling my heart apart.
"She looks even better than she did in the game." I commented and turned my attention to my opponent.
The referee stood between us and nodded at the both of us. "I will be in charge of refereeing this match, understood! So before we start, I'd like you two to decide what this battle will determine. Basically, state your conditions and I will make sure the parties adhere to them!"
A confident smirk split his face as his navy hair swayed whilst he tucked it into a ponytail. "If I win, I'll take your place as the number one of this school AND you will apologise to me on your knees while licking my shoes!"
Oh dear, oh dear. That's the best he can think of? He really is an NPC through and through.
Firmly, I took one step forward and bowed in front of my audience. I was about to put on a spectacle and I wanted to give them the right treating as a host.
"No. I don't agree to that. That's...too easy, isn't it!?" His face twisted from confused to slightly disturbed as muttering erupted from the audience.
"Then what do you suggest?" He asked.
"On top of all that you stated, I will relinquish myself of all my rights and become your slave, your plaything. I will give you credit for any achievements I go on to achieve and I will give you all my wealth, property and land including my families. That should be good enough." A shadow casted over my eyes as ice seemingly thawed from my iris.
An aura of craziness consumed the arena and eerily became palpable, everyone present screaming in an outburst.
"Is he crazy!?"
"What does he think he's doing!?"
"Even if he is the number one, that's too much, isn't it!?"
Kayden himself stepped back in fear born from my overwhelming confidence and my twisted pattern of thinking. Sweat beamed from his forehead and glistened in the radiance of the flare in the sky.
"T-That's! Are you sure?" The referee confirmed and I simply nodded in return.
"Of course I am, and in return I request only one thing. If I win, I get to kill him in anyway I see fit. Put your life on the line as I did mine in return! Think about it, I suffer a lifetimes worth of humiliation and pain. You? At most a few days. Do you accept?"
Silence consumed the thoughts of everyone present before Kayden astutely responded. "...I accept."
The referee then backed away and rose his arm. "You may now began this fight!"
A gust of wind swept and abducted the dust from the platform as Kayden and I slowly stepped towards each other. Nervous breaths stopped and hearts thumped.
Mana coalesced in Kayden's body causing his amber hue to grow more vibrant, his arm rising in a blazing flame that roared pridefully. His arm whipped from a distance like he was holding something and a crescent of flames crawled towards me.
A crackling burst of red mana filled the silence as the onyx ground charred and left behind a definitive and visible mark. An explosion of torrid flames weaved and snared around me as it's jaw of fire clamped down.
Elevated gasps from the audience sounded and as smoke rose into the air.
Kayden smirked and called out. "Is that all you have, No.1?" He pridefully puffed out his chest and started chuckling to himself.
"Start counting." I snapped, interrupting his laughter. "Let's see how long you'll last."
From the opaque cloud of smog, thunderous steps slowly emerged as I admired my torn uniform.
Kayden's eyes slowly panicked as he stepped backwards and I quickly eased him a smile and corrected my hair. "I won't be needing this anymore." I tore the rest of my shirt and blazer off of me and continued valiantly marching, my steps unwavering.
"Raikiri!" I chanted aloud, a gathering of umbral sealed the azure sky and the blazing sun as a sinkhole appeared. The entirety of the platform thrummed as motes of amethyst crackled around me. My vision swam in a tinge of lavender as a whisk of light split the sky and thunder struck out a split-second after.
I quickly moved my right arm above my head in an arch movement and caught the thunder in my hand, the contents of it malleable as mana began filtering inside of it. A sword formed in my hand.
"Look upon my blade of thunder, Raikiri!" I boasted proudly.
Cheers from the crowd erupted as the gathering increased, several second and third years approaching to spectate.
Kayden's eyes dared not to meet mine. I could feel mana surging through my body and fuelling my movements. I took in a deep breath, my muscles releasing all tension within themselves as I blitzed to his side.
It took him a second to perceive me next to him and once he did, freaked out and fell on his back with dust piling up as he did so.
"You dared to sharpen your fangs when I tried to be nice. But I guess it's how the world works. A beast will always be definitely and undoubtedly...hunted by the hunter." I could see his trousers excreting a liquid as I laughed at him. His eyes fell backwards and I began walking away, mana from the blade being released and dispersing.
"W-winner Kaiser!" The referee declared, a roar of cheers erupting as I walked off.
