"Go away!"
"Die!"
"Kill him!"
Countless voices continued to shout as they hurled stones and spells at the cat-kin man.
"Don't mind them, honey," his nine-tailed fox wife said as she helped him walk toward the gate. "Jealousy has clouded their judgment. I see no difference between them and the mortals they disdain."
Away from the angry mob, the couple finally arrived at their destination, an ancient stone gate that was guarded by two majestic dragon statues.
______________
In a large tower a few kilometers away from the gate, a tense discussion was taking place.
"You're just going to let him go like this?" one person said.
"We have no choice," another replied. "He's still one of us, and killing him would cause unrest among his followers."
"Amithabha," a sagely voice chimed in. "Aren't you ashamed?, After all these years, we finally had a demigod who was almost as strong as a peak god, and had the potential to become a supreme god. But your jealousy caused you to persecute him."
"That's not the point," the first voice said impatiently. "He used a forbidden technique that drained more than seventy percent of the divine energy in this realm. Do you realize what kind of damage that could cause?"
"The energy will naturally regenerate in a few weeks or months," the voice replied.
"Enough of this!" a new voice interrupted. "I don't care what any of you think. Persecute or support him if you like. This discussion is useless. If he's fated to become a supreme god, then he shall survive. If he's not, then..."
"Shut your mouth, you fate bastards always think you're hotshots, huh? All you're saying is bullshit. You think I don't know how you always have a hand in everything that happens?. You use those manipulative fingers of yours to work behind the scenes and then blame it all on fate." A muscular god stood up, pointing an accusing finger at the god with the plaque that said "Fate."
The god known as "Fate" sneered, his face full of arrogance. "You talk too much. You think you're so tough just because you have that strong physique of yours Youth?"
"All disputes should be solved with a good battle," the god of youth sneered. "That's how true men do things, unlike some sissies who hide in their rooms scheming all day."
"Enough!" an authoritative voice boomed. It was Zeus, the strongest lightning god and the closest god to the realm of the supreme gods. "The subject of our discussion is an anomaly. One that has been ignored for far too long." He looked around at the other gods, seeing them listening, he continued "The one known as the 'Jack of All Trades,' this demigod wields the power of many gods and is still acquiring more over time. This is something that has never happened before. He's already garnered too much attention from the lower gods, and if we continue to ignore him, he might cause a rift between the lower gods and the supreme gods. If this demigod's powers grow too much, the balance of the entire universe could be threatened." Zeus paused, letting his words sink in. No one dared to speak. The atmosphere was heavy, and tension hung in the air. The gravity of the situation was not lost on any of the gods in the room.
Finally, one of the oldest gods in the room spoke up. "It's true, the 'Jack of All Trades' has been growing stronger at an alarming rate. But what can we do about it?"
"If we don't do something soon, it could be too late," said Zeus, his brow furrowed in concentration. "We need to devise a plan to contain this demigod's power, before it's too late."
"But what can we do?" asked another god. "The 'Jack of All Trades' is too unpredictable, and his power is still growing. We don't even know what he's truly capable of yet."
The room was silent again, as the gods considered the gravity of the situation. After a long pause, another god spoke up.
"There must be a way to contain him," the god continued. "We can't just sit back and let him grow stronger and stronger, without taking any action. We must act now, before it's too late."
Zeus nodded in Glad to hear it! Let's continue with the dialogue then:
"There must be a way to contain him," the god continued. "We can't just sit back and let him grow stronger and stronger, without taking any action. We must act now, before it's too late."
Zeus nodded in agreement. "I think we should consider enlisting the help of the demigod known as ....."
