POV( JACK OF ALL TRADES)
...
"I can't go on," I said to my wife, panting. "Leave me behind."
"What are you saying?" she replied. "I can't leave you. Just a little bit further and we'll reach your secret chamber."
She tried to pull me up, but a vine wrapped around me before she could move. I scowled as I realized who those belonged to.
"My, don't tell me you were about to leave without saying goodbye to me," a seductive voice rang out. A woman with light green skin and flowing green hair emerged from the shadows. It was Leafa, one of the first gods to arrive.
"Leafa!" I grunted. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, just keeping you company," she said, smirking. "After all, you did reject me. It's only fair I get some revenge."
"Oh I get it now" I replied, my lips curling into a smirk. " But I'm sorry, i'm not vegetarian."
Leafa's smile disappeared. "You shouldn't have said that."
"I don't see any reason not to. Either way, the result would still be the same."
The vines start constricting around me, but they fell apart almost immediately.
"Weak," I said. "Even in my weakened state, I'm still confident enough to wipe the floor with you."
"Of course, I already knew that. That's why I'm not attacking you alone."
Multiple footsteps begin approaching our location.
"You were stalling for time, I should have guessed," my gaze turned indifferent. "But you made a mistake. You forgot who you're up against."
I raised my hands in the air and chanted, the words coming out of my mouth sounding like a death sentence to all the gods present. Space cracked, and time seemed to pause and restart again as a tremor shook the area.
[PUPPETEER'S REALM, TENTH FLOOR: INFINITE VOID]
"Wow, it's the legendary tenth floor! I've only ever heard of it."
WHACK!
"You idiot! This is not the time for fanaticism. Use your d--"
The entire space collapsed in on itself and later reformed, no living creature in sight. I fell on my knees and coughed up a mouthful of blood. My wife ran up to me.
"You can't do stuff like that. Why didn't you let me fight her?" she asked, worry evident in her tone.
"Nah, I can't let you solve my problems for me. A man should solve his problems by himself. Besides, I didn't want it to devolve into a women's squabble."
"There they are, get them!"
As multiple attacks of different forms flew towards us, my wife raised her hand.
[SPIRIT DOMAIN]
[DAMAGE TRANSFER]
The words left her lips, creating a gigantic magic circle with a diameter of almost one kilometer above us. Any god who was in the area began to feel something eating away at their souls. Moreover, any attacks launched at us seemed to have no effect on us but on the gods themselves.
"For those of you that survive this, tell your superiors to come here themselves if they want to stop us!" she yelled as she squeezed her raised hand into a fist.
TRUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMM
A droning sound rang out as she whispered,
[SPIRIT ANNIHILATION].
A gigantic blue beam struck down from the magic circle in the sky, turning the world around us blue. When the spell cleared up, all that remained around us were hundreds of bodies slowly dropping to the ground one by one. The spell was one that targeted the soul, with no physical damage involved.
"What have you done, fiend?" an angry voice rang out.
The gods were just arriving after most of their minions were wiped out.
"I believe we now have proof that the Jack of All Trades is a threat," another chimed in.
"For those of you who believe the Jack of All Trades is being persecuted wrongly, you now have proof of the threat he poses to us. H--"
"Enough talking, old man. If you want to destroy me so much, do it. There's no need for all the talking," I growled.
"Very well," Zeus replied, his lightning staff appearing in his hand. "I shall grant you the end you desire."
____________________________________________
I don't remember how much time had passed since the battle began. I had used almost every ability I had in my arsenal. The space around cracked, and the ground turned into a pool of lava. I laid on the ground, completely bruised and weak. My wife stood bravely in front of me, her entire body covered in blood. A few minutes ago, she cast one of her most powerful spells, [INFINITE SAMSARA].
Even if gods were immortal, they still have souls, and most of them were born as or like mortals. This spell is almost like my [Infinite Regression] spell, which I'm too weak to cast. The only difference is that hers focuses on both the body and soul. Imagine rushing up to attack someone, only to turn into a baby or suddenly lose your memories of what you were doing .
The spell continued for a while until a black mass appeared out of nowhere and swallowed all the gods. I was still confused about what was happening until a voice rang out.
"Old people should rest in their homes and let the young handle the important stuff, don't you think?"
"C-c-Chaos," my wife called his name, stammering, while I looked forward, my gaze solemn.
"Long time no see, brother and sister-in-law, or should I say..."
"SOPHIA AND DAMIAN."
