It was Six o'clock and the sound of the alarm ringing in its utterly terrible voice was heard throughout the dead and silent room. The owner of the room was Salish Kim, 20. She was a university student as well as one of the world's youngest chairwomen owning a company.
"Why does this shit always has to ring right next to my ear." She groaned while getting out of her bed while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Good morning world, it's time to rise and shine like we always do" she greeted herself with a melodious voice.
"Let's get ready and go downstairs before anyone wakes up" she said to herself.
It was her daily routine.
Wake up early, get dressed and stressed for the day, prepare breakfast for the whole family, go to university, go to office, cook dinner, do the laundry, study, clean and lastly sleep early only if she was lucky enough.
After showering, Salish quickly made her hair into a high ponytail and slipped into a new pair of clothes and applied a light pinkish coral colored lip tint and she was ready for the day.
"Beautiful as always" She adored herself in the mirror or a while.
"Oh no! I will get late!" She lightly scolded herself because of acting like a model in the mirror for too long which almost made her late for everything she had planned for the day.
She got to the kitchen and made some French toast and pancakes for herself as well as the rest of her family, more like stepfamily and packed some of it for herself in her small translucent lunch box and left for her university.
"Phew! I'm not that much late as I thought. Let's run now Salish or else you will miss the bus" Salish said to herself like always and ran out of her house without forgetting to take the key to her house.
After running for a good ten minutes, she reached the bus stop and sat on the nearby bench. She was panting deeply because of sudden exercise.
"Huff, tired already. I should exercise more often."
Just then, a hand offered her a bottle of water.
"No, it's okay but thank you sir." She politely refused because she knew that drinking something given by a stranger will not help her mental peace at any cost or might even get her into trouble because of the increased crime rates in London.
After her refusal the hand seemed like it vanished into thin air like it was never real and was just an illusion. Being confused she looked up and took a good look her surroundings and then at then watch. Nobody except her was present at the bus stop at half-past-seven.
"Was I hallucinating?" Salish said trying to convince herself that it was all a lie but as we know, it was never a lie. It was the ¼ trailer of the things which were going to happen with that innocent soul soon.
While she was busy searching for the mysterious person with her eyes and busy brain, a horn rang making her startled.
Just after taking a moment to realize that she was spacing out, again, Salish gave herself two light slaps on her left check.
"Wake up from your sleep now, at least. It had been a coincidence all along. I should stop watching horror movies for real." She tried to reason it in the name of her imagination.
She got on the bus and sat near a window seat taking out a medium sized book and started reading it. On an additional point Salish was also wearing air pods pro, listening to some pleasant music.
She was a student at Yale University of London. She was studying hard to get her degree of Bachelor of Business and complete her father's last wish.
Seconds later, the bus departs from the bus stop and starts moving towards its next destination.
Just then, "I am sorry my child, you had to suffer so much because of me. But not anymore." Said the mysterious man and vanished into the thin air.
