When Diedrich heard the notification, he was reminded of the system and the point score it displayed.
However, those thoughts were cut short when he remembered the collapsed man. Diedrich quickly took the dagger from the goblin's corpse, thinking it would be useful, and ran towards the wounded man.
As Diedrich approached, he saw that he was laying face down with a pool of blood around him. Diedrich stood still; he had never seen so much blood coming from one person.
Diedrich reached for the man to turn him around, however when he did, he was met with a still and lifeless gaze, Diedrich's mind went blank.
The person in front of Diedrich was dead, Diedrich had never seen someone dead up close, you could say he was lucky he had never even experienced the death of a family member or friend, so seeing someone dead in front of him unsettled Diedrich.
As he was staring at the corps he noticed that the man had horrid cuts all over his body. There was also an 8-centimeter hole in his stomach which was the main cause of his death.
Diedrich immediately knew that the hole couldn't have been made from the daggers the goblins had as they were thin and wide like a shark tooth while the hole in the corpse's body was circular.
"SPEAR GOBLIN", was the first thing that popped up in Diedrich's mind.
Diedrich felt the sun beginning to set and thought it was time to leave, being around a corpse also made him feel uneasy. Although he wanted to bury the guy who looked no older than him, he thought it would be too dangerous to do with monsters roaming around.
Diedrich began walking back to where he left Emma and Sophie to see how they were doing, as he walked for some reason he had a bad premonition.
As Diedrich walked through the forest he saw three figures approaching from up ahead, he quickly hid behind a tree and tried to check them out inconspicuously.
When they got closer he could see their features, they were Goblins. Two of them looked like the previous one Diedrich had killed and were common goblins however the one leading them was a head taller than the other two and had more muscles, he was also holding a spear.
"SPEAR GOBLIN", Diedrich confirmed. As the goblins came closer Diedrich was able to see the finer details of the weapons and noticed that the tip of the spear was stained red.
" They had ganged up on him" Diedrich realised, these goblins were probably the ones who killed the guy, as they were walking in the direction the man had died and were following the blood stains he had left behind.
Diedrich felt he should take revenge for that person as they were both humans and wanted to quickly head out and kill these goblins, however, he knew that wouldn't be a wise decision as they had the advantage of greater force and reach with the spear.
Diedrich quickly thought up a plan that according to him had a high chance of success, with minimal risk, and implemented it.
Diedrich left the tree he hid behind and unsuspiciously went to a tree further up ahead that the goblins would cross as the blood trail would be just beside the tree, Diedrich hid behind that tree, took out his dagger, and waited patiently.
Soon the sound of footsteps were heard...
The spear goblin was walking in the front of the group following the blood trail the human they had injured left behind, just as the spear goblin was about to pass a tree he saw a human with a knife. The Human grabs his spear with one hand while using the other hand to stab in an upwards motion the bottom of the goblin's head, reaching the brains.

Diedrich smiled. The two goblins who followed behind the spear goblin were dumbfounded, Diedrich still holding the spear jumped backwards to be in a good position to attack the goblins from.
The goblins now noticed Diedrich and quickly pounced on him. Diedrich was nervous fighting against two opponents however having already dealt with the biggest threat and noticing that the goblins had no sense of teamwork, both attacking him using no coordination or strategy, he was feeling calmer.
Diedrich thrust out with the spear and stabbed one goblin in the stomach, letting the other goblin come closer, so Diedrich quickly dropped the spear that was still inside the other goblin's body and got the stick he had attached to his back with his shirt and fiercely hit the goblin with it.
The goblin saw this attack and tried to defend himself with his arms however he was still sent flying a bit and had both arms broken.
Diedrich knew the fight was finished and leisurely walked towards the goblin who was screaming in pain with the spear stuck inside his body, holding the stick in his hand he smashed the head of the goblin.
With a faint smile on his face, he then walked over to the other goblin who just now was able to get up and run away.
The goblin saw how this human had smashed in its compatriot's head and was wide-eyed however what stunned it, even more, was the fact that the human was smiling while doing it, it sent shivers up its spine, the goblin with all its might managed to get up, however, just when it stood up again it was hit by something in the back of its head and everything went black.
When Diedrich saw the goblin standing up he grabbed the spear out of the dead goblin's body and threw it at the goblin who tried to escape and hit a lucky bullseye although it was only five meters away it was still pretty impressive in Diedrich's opinion.
