As dim sunlight fall into Damian room, He waked up as he yawned with raising his hand ,
He put his feet on the ground silently as he doesn't want to wake his sister up as he silently walked upto the window and jumped outside as Damian made that his door for his house .
Damian could be seen running as his hair flowed behind him in the wind, bouncing with each step he took. He could seen making his way towards the river which close to his house.
As he was running he saw a boy sitting near the river " Is he owl or something how did he reached before me , even sun hasn't come out properly " Damian as he was running towards him as his breath could be heard.
As Damian reached him " Did you went home yesterday or you were sleeping here , I waked up just as the sun rised , even then you reached here first" as he was speaking he saw kaelen not responding to him so he bend forward to see kaelen who eyes is closed as his mouth his slightly open with drool coming out.
"Waterrrrrr" as Damian made a water ball and dropped on his head.
" Whooooh " Kaelen shouted as he immediately stood up started waking like druken man with uneven steps.
As Kaelen calm down wiping his face with his hand as he said " What's was that for " .
"I know you're a punctual bastard but still there was no rush for you to come here even before the sun has come out " Damian said as he sat down on grass .
"Next time, just try waking me up with a gentle tap on the shoulder or by calling my name," Kaelen suggested. "Pouring water on me is a bit too extreme."kaelen said while flickering his head , "as he said" you know today is monthly visit for the ship , they usually arrive in the morning.
" Fine let's get go we need to reach the coast in time" Damian said as he stood up started crossing the river .
In the past 5 years Damian usually go to the cliff which is near the coast as it gives the full view of the ocean and ship which arrives every month for a short while for some goods . As the time for leaving the Island coming closer .
Damian and Kaelen made their way across the river, their sturdy legs carrying them easily from stone to stone. They entered the forest, and the dense canopy overhead provided a cool shelter from the crisp morning air.
After sometimes they reached the cliff where they were playing yesterday as they climbed up the hill and walked further ahead through a grassy field until they finally reached the cliff with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden glow on the water. Damian and Kaelen stood at the edge of the cliff, gazing out at the beauty of the world before them. The wind blew softly through their hair, and they breathed in the fresh morning air. For a moment, they simply stood there in awe, taking in the majesty of the view before them.
As Damian and Kaelen stood at the cliff, admiring the view, they noticed a commotion in the distance. They squinted their eyes and saw that people were gathering on the coastal area below them .
" See I wasn't the only one who woke up before sunrise " Kaelen said indicating the gathering people with goods .
As they busy watching the ocean for the ship to arrive a certain maggot attracted Damian attention " Hey isn't that Leif " Damian said indicating a running body who seems to holding his long clothes.
As kaelen looked at the direction indicated by Damian , He saw a man appeared in the distance, his clothes long and reaching down to his feet.
As he attempted to run, he struggled to pick up his pace, frequently reaching down with one hand to lift up the hem of his clothes. Despite his difficulties, he continued to press forward, his determination clear in his steady strides.
His face was set in a look of intense concentration, and his brow was furrowed with the effort of running while keeping his clothes from dragging him down. As he drew closer, Damian and Kaelen could see that he was carrying a small package under his arm, his grip on it tight as he ran.
" What's with him why he is running like a chimpanzee " Damian as said with a small smile as kaelen was also controlling his laugh.
As Damian and Kaelen lay on the grassy ground, their eyes fixed on the expanse of ocean before them, they waited for the ship to arrive.
As a sudden wind breeze passes through them.
"Hey, Kaelen, can someone have two elements?" he asked, breaking the peaceful silence.
Kaelen, who had been lost in thought, turned his head slightly towards Damian, curious about what had prompted the question" Well there are rare cases where someone does possess two elements " kaelen said with calm tone.
As Kaelen spoke, Damian's eyes widened in surprise. He had asked the question on a whim, never really expecting there to be an answer. But now, hearing Kaelen's response, he was shocked
" Wait, how do you know " Damian said as he was looking with curiosity towards him only get angry as kaelen response sunk in" Leif told me that when he was sharing his visit to crystalia "
" That bastard never told me anything about it " Damian said as he was frustrated as 9 years have passed but he didn't share any thing related to magic.
"Forget about that the ship is arriving" kaelen sais they saw, The ship was large with three masts, and its billowing white sails caught the wind and propelled it swiftly across the water.
As the ship drew closer, Damian could see the crew on board were busy preparing for arrival.
As ship drew closer to the coast " Again this ship , where the hell is that magic ship" Damian said as he stood up in disappointment.
"It's been five years since that ship arrived" Damian said as he remembered the the magic ship which hull was made entirely of a glittering crystal that glowed with a bright, pulsing light.
"You know that ship wasn't some normal ship, It was not a cargo ship as you clearly saw the armored people on that ship". Kaelen said by sympathizing Damian as he remembered how Damian comes every month just so he can see that ship once again.
As Damian turned around walked towards the hill after walking for a while, he sat on the top of the hill.
" Come on what's the hurry you are going to leave this Island soon so you might might get a chance to see it again " Kaelen said as he put his hand on his shoulder as he also sat beside him.
As Kaelen was comforting Damian who was busy at staring "Hey what's that shine" Damian indicating far away in the deep forest where smoke could seen coming out.
" What shine ?" Kaelen looked towards the area where Damian pointed .
" There was red spark in the smoke " Damian said , as kaelen thought he was seeing things.
"Its just the smoke from the volcano and it won't erupt as it's kind of destroyed and become some kind of cave" As kaelen was telling him not worry about the smoke he saw Damian standing up as he knew what he is about to say.
"Let's go check it out, plus we have never gone to the volcano after which this island is named," Damian said as some kind of adventure music played in his mind.
