1 Month Later.....
As Damian could be seen packing his bag, he paused for a moment, his eyes scanning the room. Everything looked in order, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that he might be forgetting something. He checked his bag once more, making sure he had everything he needed for his journey.
Suddenly, he heard Elara's voice calling out to him from the other room. "Damian, did you pack your stuff?" she asked, a hint of concern in her tone.
"Yes, I did," Damian replied, making his way towards the door. He took one last look around the room, the memories flooding back to him. This was his childhood home, where he had grown up and spent countless hours playing with his friends.
As he stepped outside, he looked up at the sky and saw the first rays of sunlight peeking over the horizon. It was a new day, and a new adventure awaited him.
Taking a deep breath, Damian closed the door behind him, leaving his childhood memories behind. He was ready to embark on a new journey, to explore new lands, and to make new memories that would stay with him for a lifetime.
As the sun rose above the horizon, Damian and his family made their way towards the bustling shore. The salty sea air filled their lungs as they walked among the throngs of people carrying goods to trade for money. The monthly ship that visits can be seen coming towards the shore, and excitement filled the air.
Damian couldn't help but feel a sense of bittersweetness as he looked at his family walking beside him. He knew he had to leave them behind and embark on his own journey. Nevertheless, he was filled with a sense of adventure and hope for what lay ahead.
. "Yo!" As Damian felt a sudden tap on his shoulder, his mouth wide open at the appearance of a young man in grey pants and a loose white t-shirt with a cut near the chest, black leather boots, and brown hair combed backwards near his forehead, with the rest falling naturally.
"Kaelen, what's with you?" Damian said.
"What's with me?" Kaelen replied, confused.
"I mean, look at you," Damian said, gesturing towards Kaelen's outfit. "I never knew you could dress so well!"
Kaelen's eyes twitched a bit in surprise, but then he grinned. "Oh, you thought I was shabby? Sorry to disappoint, buddy."
Damian's expression softened. "No, I'm not teasing you. I'm just surprised, that's all."
"And what with that hoe" Damian said indicating the hoe hanging in his back pack .
"Oh! This, it's for emergency purpose " kaelen said .
"Ah, so you're finally leaving," a sudden voice caught the attention of both Kaelen and Damian, causing them to turn towards the source to see Leif standing there.
"It's old man , Where is Aria " Damian asked in a monotone voice
" Your boat has arrived " Old man said indicating the small boat that coming towards the shore to pick goods.
Damian turned around to say a last goodbye to his family, but he didn't try to engage in further conversation. He realized that his mother could burst into tears if he did so.
As Damian and Kaelen approached the rowing boats, a man holding a paper asked, "What goods do you have?" The man was dressed in shabby clothes, wearing only a sleeveless undershirt.
"Excuse me, we need to board the ship for Dragonspire," Damian said, addressing the man holding the paper.
The man shook his head. "I'm sorry, we're only going to Crystalia. You'll have to catch another ship for Dragonspire in crystalia."
"Okay," Damian said, slightly disappointed.
"How many people are boarding?" the man asked.
"Just the two of us," Kaelen replied.
The man scribbled something on the paper. "That will be two silver for each of you, and an additional silver for food," he said, holding out his hand.
Kaelen and Damian handed over three silver coins to the man, who received them with a satisfied nod. "Pack these two guys, they're going on board," he said, pointing to the small boat that would take them to their destination. Kaelen and Damian followed his gesture and settled onto the boat.
As the boat started rowing away from the shore, Damian couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness as his family and the island started to blur in the distance. He stole one last glance at his parents and his little sister, still sleeping soundly in her father's arms, before turning his gaze to the open sea ahead.
As the small boat approached the ship, two rope lines with hooks descended from the deck above. The man who had been rowing the boat deftly grabbed the ropes and secured them to the both ends of the boat. "Pull up," he instructed, and the ropes began to hoist the small boat up towards the deck of the ship.
As Damian and Kaelen finally ascended the side of the ship, they were greeted by the bustling activity of the crew. Some were carrying wooden boxes, others were busy fixing the sail cloth.
The deck was alive with the sounds of people working, ropes being pulled and the creaking of the ship. From the deck, they had a clear view of the ocean stretching out before them, its blue waters sparkling in the sunlight. The ship was large, with three masts towering above them and a bow that cut through the waves with ease.
Damian and Kaelen took a moment to take in their surroundings, feeling the excitement of the adventure that lay ahead.
