Katana walked to me with a knife. She held it to her lips and smiled at me.
"Where do you think this knife should go? Do you have any suggestions?"
I glared at her and gave her an answer she didn't like.
"Through your eye. That is what I will do when I get free "
She laughed out loud and then sat on the chair she had pulled.
"If you think you are getting free then you have another thing coming, " Katana replied.
"How stupid can you be? " Loretta asked.
"The grown-ups are talking, "I replied to her without looking at her. She was not worth a minute of my time or effort. The real enemy was Katana. All Loretta was good for was being someone's lap dog. She was never going to be anything more than that.
She wanted to retort and say something but she came up short because she shut her mouth and stomped away. She hated being inferior but that was exactly what she was and she knew it.
