I woke up when the sun's rays hit my face through the window. I groaned, already hating the room I was sleeping in. Why was it that bright? That was when I became aware of a pair of arms around my body.
"Good morning, " Kai said when I turned to look at him.
"Good morning, " I muttered.
From the way he looked at me, I knew he wanted to figure out if I was still angry. Well, I wasn't. I had never been one to keep grudges. I found life was better when we let go of all the baggage that we had.
"Do you want to go get breakfast? " He asked carefully as if he was trying to gauge my reaction.
I didn't like that he was walking on eggshells around me. What had happened had already happened. I didn't want to dwell in the past. I nodded my head as an answer to his question and he let go of me.
I got out of bed and he sat on the bed watching me carefully.
