The scent of flowers woke me up early in the morning. Fresh burgundy roses in a red ceramic vase were on my bedside table.
I rolled my eyes and let out a sigh at Kai's pathetic attempt at redemption. What did he want me to do with the roses?
Eat them? I wanted freedom and if he wouldn't give me that, then we had nothing more to talk about.
I grabbed the vase and carried it in my hands to the balcony. In one swift motion, I threw it on the ground and watched as it broke into tiny pieces.
