I paced back and in my room wondering how Kai was faring. I tried to convince myself that the reason I was worried was because he could be replaced by a more ruthless king if he died but deep down I knew that was not the reason I was that worked up.
" Why are you so worried? " I voice asked and turned to see Zeus leaning against the balcony door. It was his signature entrance.
I shook my head to indicate that it was nothing while I assessed him from head to toe. I heaved out a sigh of relief when I saw that he was okay. He must not have been involved in the fight. He smiled when he realized why I was looking at him that carefully.
" I didn't know you liked me that much, " he said and got up from his position. He walked towards me and kissed me on the lips.
Before I could deepen it, he pulled away and walked out my bedroom door. He had never used my bedroom door before and all I could do was watch him.
