The next day, I heard a knock on my door very early in the morning. My heart started beating fast and I started imagining a beating or something else. I willed myself to stay calm because I hadn't been told I was supposed to wake up early.
'This isn't back home, ' a voice in the back of my head said.
When the knock got louder, I sprang to my feet and opened the door. Marisa was standing on the other side looking impatient like she had been waiting forever. She entered my room and closed the door.
I heaved out a sigh of relief when I saw no sign of violence in her actions.
"This is the list of your duties today. Make sure you complete all of them by the time the day is coming to an end. After that, you're free to come back here and chill. " She said while holding out a sheet.
