"So what's next now, how do you intend on finding her,i mean, you not even sure if she's really a student of our college".
Jeremy was kinda making sense, Johnny doesn't even know if she's really a student there. Throughout the day,he spent time asking a few person about the girl, but non of them gave him a satisfying answer.
Giving up isn't an option though,he became more determined to find her at all cost after meeting her again.
"Dude listen,am going to help you find her okay but right now am really famished". Jeremy said squeezing his face.
After receiving their last lecture for day,they both spent the remaining evening searching for Jenny everywhere but to no avail.They both decided to go to dragon's lair and chill out a bit before going home.
"You know where to get food right". Johnny said pointing to the refrigerator.
Dragon's lair is Johnny's secret house, small but well furnished,he comes there whenever he's having a hard time or trying to get away from something. Jeremy is the only one that knows about the house,he also has a spare key just in case he wants to spend some time there.
Jeremy opened the refrigerator,a lot of drinks and different varieties of snacks was well displayed to his satisfaction,he picked up an energy drink and a bag of chips snack then walked back to the living room.
"You barely come here,why is the refrigerator always stocked up with stuff, it's as if you are keeping them for someone". Jeremy said gulping down the drink. Johnny sighed quietly then relaxed his back properly against the couch.
"It's not for anyone, it's like a ritual thing and am used to it".
Jeremy chuckled then said"what exactly do you mean by that, ritual? that's creepy dude".
"I don't mean it in the literal sense okay, it's something i normally do with someone". Jeremy sat up immediately,no body knows about this house except for him and Johnny of course.
"Wait, someone else apart from me is aware of this place,no way bro".
"No not really,i just..." he stopped to take a deep breath.
''Just forget about it okay". Johnny shut his eyes, his breathing became quite heavy and difficult, Jeremy observed him for awhile,he could see through Johnny and he's clearly not thinking about Jenny this time but something else.
"Are you alright?"
Johnny opened his eyes and gave him a wry smile.
"Am fine,just tired".
"You wanna talk about it?"
"No"
"I think we should head back home then,before your mom starts buzzing your phone with calls". Jeremy said still studying Johnny's face intently.
"You can go first, I still have an unfinished school work".
Jeremy could tell that he was lying,he had that distinct emotion in his dark brown eyes, the one he rarely see.
Jeremy was worried but he couldn't ask any further questions. Johnny has one of the craziest personalities, one moment he's cool,calm and collected and the next minute he turns into a totally different person. He says the most stupid things at times but can get very serious when he needs to be.
Johnny has the best smile but his anger sends shivers down the spine. That's probably why they are best friends cause they understands each other pretty much.
"Hey,you be will fine alright". Jeremy said tapping his shoulder slightly,he left the house afterwards.
Johnny didn't stay long either, coming to dragon's lair brings back so many unwanted memories that he had struggled so hard to forget over the years, he feels both comfort and pain, whenever he spends time there.
when he arrived home,he was quite surprised to see so many people,he thought that house was getting renovated but they were decorating it and in the most sophisticated and expensive way, he became confused on what the occasion was and decided to ask one of the workers.
"Excuse me, what's going on here?"
"Madam Catherine ordered us to decorate the house, she said there's going to be a big celebration tomorrow". Johnny became even more confused, what celebration exactly, his Mom would never bring her company's party to the house, they already have a special villa for that.
"Mom what's going on, why are you hosting a party here, what about the villa"? Johnny asked immediately he sighted Catherine.
"The party is not for the company, that's why am hosting it here". She said walking away, Johnny followed suite.
"Does dad know about this?",
"He suggested it okay and I thought it was a nice idea", Catherine said looking directly into Johnny's eyes and studying the emotion in it.
"Johnny what exactly is tomorrow's date".she asked raising her voice slightly.
"How's tomorrow's date related to what we are talking about Mom".
"Johnny just answer the question"
"11th of February,so how does it relate to...",he stopped,it suddenly dawned on him, how did it slip his mind. His birthday is tomorrow and Catherine is throwing a party.
Johnny stopped celebrating his birthday a long time ago and Catherine is pretty much aware of that, just like dragon's lair,his birthday gives off the same kind of vibes.
But Catherine had had enough of the unknown reason why he had to refused to celebrate his birthday. Johnny will be 25 tomorrow and he sure deserves a grand birthday party.
Catherine have been getting everything in place, making lots of preparation for the past few weeks now, she simply can't allow Johnny to ruin anything,he might have deprived her the Joy of celebrating his birthday in the past years but not this time, she's definitely throwing a party and in the most exquisite way. Invitation cards have been sent out already to friends and family.
Johnny became totally pissed, how can she make such preparations without telling him about it first.
"Mom why are you doing this exactly?" he asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
