She pushed the door opened and there on cold floor, laid Jenny,her body had completely turned pale and almost lifeless. The waitress was horrified by the scene infront her, she immediately dashed out to call for help.
All her co-workers were busy, she walked into the crowd looking for Madam Catherine but she was nowhere to be found either. She inadvertently bumped into Johnny.
"Am so... sorry sir", she apologized. Johnny wondered why she looked so tensed up but didn't bother to ask.
" I can only accept your apology if you get me a drink", Johnny said to her.
"She...she fainted, the lady in the restroom", the waitress stuttered uncontrollably making Johnny confused,he didn't expect her to blot out something like that.
"I don't understand what you are trying to say to me", Johnny noticed that her hands were trembling furiously.
"Please help her sir, there's a lady in the restroom, she... she passed out suddenly, just come with me", She grabbed his hand and pulled him through the crowd,all the way to the restroom, when they got to the restroom,he was dumbstruck to find Jenny lying on the bare floor,he couldn't believe she came to his party.
"Why are we always meeting in the most inconvenient manner",he thought to himself.
He rushed to her, her body was as cold as ice. Johnny felt her pulse,it was incredibly low, for a moment he feared that she might fall into a coma.
The waitress rushed out to get more help while Johnny tried to carry Jenny outside, he started yelling for help too.
Jeremy saw him and ran towards them, he was clearly perplexed.
"What happened dude, what's wrong with her?",he asked pointing at Jenny.
"I don't know either, can you get my dad please,hurry up".
Jeremy wasted no time,he ran into the crowd, looking earnestly for Frederick.Some of the guests noticed the absurd situation going on behind and began to whisper.
Jeremy eventually found Frederick,he whispered into his ears. Frederick's eyes widened in utter surprise,he followed Jeremy instantly without asking any questions.
"Dad please help her,i have no idea why she fainted", Johnny said as soon as Frederick got to the scene. Everyone's attention was drawn to the commotion behind ,they were amazed by the sudden kerfuffle.
Adams stood transfixed,he had a puzzled look on his face when he beheld Jenny lying lifelessly on the ground.
"Move, give her some space, she needs air"Frederick said examining her body,he felt her pulse rate it was very weak.
He asked Catherine who was standing beside to take his phone and call his hospital's ambulance service.
"What's wrong with my daughter doctor?", Adams asked, returning to his normal senses.
"I think she suffered a cardic arrest,we need to get her to the hospital for now".
An ambulance arrived at the mansion few minutes later. Jenny was taken on a stretcher into the van, with an oxygen mask over her face, Adams got into the van as well, he held her hand and prayed silently.
Frederick, Johnny and Jeremy followed the ambulance in a private car, Catherine wished she could go with them but she had to stay back and explain a few things to the guests.
When they got to the hospital, Jenny was taken to the ICU where she would get a proper check-up.Fredrick spoke to some doctors privately. He came out of the ICU with some papers in his hands.
"What is really wrong with her doctor?", Adams asked grabbing Frederick's shoulder, Johnny and Jeremy moved closer to hear what he had to say about Jenny's condition.
"Have your daughter ever complained about having chest pain?"Frederick asked looking at the papers.
"She had complained to me a few times,so we got some drugs at a pharmacy store, she took them and felt better i suppose".
"She was diagnosed of a heart disease know as cardiomyopathy, looking at these tests results,it clearly shows that this disease has been there for quite sometime now".
"Is she in any danger?"Adams asked
"She needs to be operated on immediately".
"Okay doctor, what do I have to do?"
"Just sigh these papers". Frederick said giving Adams the papers and a pen. Adams sighed the papers immediately and handed them over to Fredrick.
"Your daughter is going to be alright, just relax".
5 hours later, the door to the operating room opened and Jenny was wheeled out of the room on a bed, she looked much better but still unconscious. Adams ran to meet her, heavens knows how relieved he was to see her. Johnny was still there but Jeremy was long gone.
"It's 1am in the morning, what are you still doing here Johnny?"Frederick asked with a surprised look in his eyes
"I wanted to be sure that she's okay".
"She's fine for now, go home you look so exhausted". Frederick said giving Johnny the car keys. He reluctantly took the keys and promised Adams that he would come back to checkup on Jenny.
Jenny was taken back to the ICU, Frederick assured Adams that Jenny is out of danger.
"She will regain consciousness soon".
"Thank you so much doctor",Adams said shaking Frederick's hand vigorously.
Later in the day, Johnny came back to the hospital as promised but discovered that Jenny was still unconscious.
"Good afternoon Mr Adams".
"Oh Johnny,you are here already".
"Yeah, how is she doing,any improvement at all?, Johnny asked looking at Jenny.
"She's been like this ever since,i don't know if I should be really worried".
"The doctors said she will be alright, you don't have to worry, here, it's from my mom, she would been here, but had a very urgent work to attend to but she promised to drop by and see her". Johnny gave Adams a basket filled with fruits and edible veggies.
"she shouldn't have bothered herself,you people have done more than enough for us", Adams said with a teary eyes.
"It's alright Mr Adams". Johnny said smiling.
